Well the weather channel is calling for a tornado watch untill11pm for allen county. If any can remember i think 2 yrs ago a tornado was spotted around delphos and LMP called the races because it was moving in their direction. People had to scatter for their safety better safe than sorry. Its 8pm right now and it is very dark around here. My 2 cents worth good call safety means more than a race. I think every one remembers the usac Larry and Gary show. Well i think every one from lima would of loved to of watched the Jeff and Jon show.
Well its 845 and lima is getting hit hard with thunder storms and rain. If i would of come from a distance for lima i would say thanks lima right call.
Lets just hope its not bad enought to call off Waynesfield

“We are under a tornado watch throughout the night. For the safety of our fans and race teams we decided to cancel,” said Attica Operations Director Rex LeJeune
Another good call lmao

Yea and it's sad too, because it will now be three years since a late model has touched the high banks in Lima! They don't reschedule anything like that! The second highest funded track in Ohio and probably in the top 10 in the country and they can't afford to have a 4 class show????????
They just don't wanna *&$% with It!!!
This is why I am beginning to look at waynesfield more and more

They probably made the right call, but it seemed to be very premature. I get the impression that Lima is much like Gas City when it comes to making decisions about events that do not involve sprint cars. They are both awfully quick to pull the plug on a late model show, which makes me feel like they would just rather not have them. Gas City doesn't have any late model shows anymore and Lima has only scheduled 1 a year for several years. If Lima really wanted to have a late model show, they would schedule more than just 1, or reschedule the 1 they have that always seems to get rained out. A better choice of a date would go a long way. August 20th is another night this season where they are not racing sprints, which would be a decent date to try. I'm sure this will fall on deaf ears though. I'd just like to see more tracks in this area like Lima, Waynesfield, Montpelier, and Gas City race late models.

Well duh!?!? Doesn't anyone realize why the call was made. Eldora was running and Northwestern has their "suite" and drinks, so don't you think that team wants to be there! Think about it..... Seems like ever year they want to cancel the Late Model show one way or another. Knew that was going to happen before the weather even made the decision!
