ATTENTION: Due to the high winds and cold temperatures, the on and off again rain, and the fact we have been without power throughout the morning, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tonights racing activities at Waynesfield Raceway Park.
We sincerely wish all of our fans and teams a wonderful Mother's Day weekend and we look forward to seeing all of you again next weekend Friday May 14th for our 4th Annual Truck Pull sponsored by Mickey Thompson Performance Tires, and Saturday May 15th for the Ohio Cycleworx 360 Sprints, Fowler and Hadding 1000cc Mini Sprints, JR and Sons Service Center Comapcts and Miracle Motorsports Tuff Trucks.

Hate to be the first one to say it but I seen some pretty good racing at Eldora tonight. I agree that the weather wasn't ideal for racing but unless you want to start the season in June you may have to put up with a couple of nights like this. Hopefully this isn't a sign of the times and Waynesfield won't call it because of the wind and cold. I am sure that most of of has raced in conditions much worse than what we had tonight.

After going to races about 48yrs i know when these old bones say to cold for me. Eldora has a nice wind break and can take a chance on a small crowd where some one like Waynesfield or Fremont makes it a little hard on them. Dean proably hated to pull the plug on that show for sat night it would of been a nice show to see. Sitting in that stand with a wind from the west and nothing to block it would of made for a cold night and no power. I left a race one night at a openiing race at eldora one yr because it was cold and im glad i did that was the night we lost a sprint car driver from lima who was in a mod. There proably was a few people who decided not to go to a race because of the wind and cold. I hope those that did were able to enjoy themselfs. Lets just all hope for a change in the weather.

I agree with Skip.
It was just too damn windy and cold last night!
I'm about as loyal of a sprint car fan as anybody...I've worn Carhartts to Winchester in late October to watch the Sammy Sessions memorial races. Those days were cold...but add in that stiff wind, and on and off rain, and it sucks.
I was in the stands on WRP's 2010 opening night...it wasn't a lot of fun, and there wasn't a lot of other folks in those stands with me.
Personally, I'm tired of this 80* and sunny during the week, and then 50* windy and raining on the weekend crap!
