First off I want to thank Dean, Cub, and all the staff for all their hard work...

The race track was a bit rough, but in my opinion the best I have raced on in my 3 years at WMP!

Im sure you had people say the race track was the reason for the 4 or so crashes but I had a front row seat for them all. I can say every crash was driver error and had nothing to do with the track, there were alot for very tight ill handling racecars but all could have been fixed with set-up! Waynesfield has many rookie drivers and new teams... it will take them awhile to figure out a wet race track but when they do it was make for some great racing!!! With that said if anyone needs any set up advise feel free to ask... i dont want to see anyone crash..i know how it is starting out!! Landon

PS... all fans are aloud to boo the 41 car : )

as im sitting here scratcing my head....im trying to figure out what ott was thinking? Simon and Ott were both in decent transfer postions...yet ott feels the need to continue to race dirty...i guess if your not fast enough to pass someone you just take em out..maybe thats his theory anyhow...other than that the racing was very good and nice to see a track with some bite at Waynesfield!!!

Landon like i told you see what you started. Just kidding you. Its nice to hear a driver step in and say what went on. The main thing is looks like we might finally have some nice decent racing weather this weekend for fans and every one. This last weekend was pretty decent , nice to see that the staff had the track ready for racing with the weather that hit the couple of days before.

I also have to give credit to all the WMP safety team for all their hard work and efforts on Sat. They had a busy night and were very good at being their quickly and working hard with consideration and time to the injured. Again great job and thank you! That really does help make a track successful! Also nice to see Dean there with them for support!!! Looks like a great team!

Slidejob 101: I guess I saw a whole different Heat race than you. Ott got loose coming off of turn 2 and never really got it collected and got into Simon at about the pit exit . I didn't see any intentioal take out , but maybe a little over agressive driving ,but didn't see any dirty driving. Yes Ott screwed up as all drivers do but that incident was not on purpose. As far as the part of being in a transfer spot, Waynesfield Inverts up to 8 cars They were in the 3rd heat race, 3rd place in the heat would give you a 9 and would not have a chance to be in the invert and would start 9th. racer50 : Waynesfield is not a track for over aggressive driving, Kokomo sounds like a track for him. Ask Westfall earlyer in the year about Ott's over aggressive driving as he took him out while he was leading the race on the last lap...sounds to me like Ott is a repeat offender!!! :o Waynesfield is a track for a lower budget race team to go out and learn, have fun, and try to run good. A transfer spot is a transfer spot. If Ott thought he was going to catch westfall and tmez which were pretty much checked out of that heat race to get a redraw he needs to rethink his options. Say a driver starts 9th in a feature, that driver has plenty of time to make his way forward through the pack. Ask Sammy Swindell at chili bowl this year..he started last..ran second. He started deeper than 9th and im sure if you ask him he wasnt about to give up. Making a feature is making a feature..no matter where you start. So to try and say he was racing for the redraw makes me chuckle

Landon, what happened to you in the A. I was back in the pit, and didn't get to see. (I'm your neighbor across the street) did you break something?? I do know the track was blazing fast and tacky and like you said set-up was everything.

Slidejob101 i was at the race earlier this year when Ott completely out drove Westfall in turns 1 and 2 that was not dirty plain and simple it was racing. I was not there this past weekend so i will not comment on this incident but like i said i was there earlier this year when Ott won fair and square. He made a perfect slide job and shut the door on Westfall. Glad everything turned out great at WRP this past weekend now hopefully the racing will be great this weekend also with the 360s.

racer50:"I guess I saw a whole different Heat race than you. Ott got loose coming off of turn 2 and never really got it collected and got into Simon at about the pit exit" If you get loose in 2 and cant collect it before crossing the track and hitting a car that was on the very bottom...your driving over your head. plan and simple.... Ott wasnt the only one that was driving over his head...but he was the one that crashed family...what goes around comes around : )

I don't know if Ott got into Simon on purpose or not...only he knows that. From the stands it looked the car jumped to the left on him, it didn't look like he drove down into him just to be doing it. But, only Steve Ott knows that.

I will say, as a suggestion to Dean, next time you rip a driver's ass out, do so when/where the fans in the stands can't hear every word of the conversation between the two of you :)

LOL!!

I heard Ott told Matt that he didn't get into him on purpose, but then said, 'Well, if there was a wall there, I would have gave you some room.' Why would he say that if he didn't introduce his RR to Matt's left side nerf bar on that slide job??

Matt wasn't 'outdrove'...he was bumped. Matt's car didn't 'fall off the track' on it's own...it was helped. Yeah, it's part of racing, but, a bump is a bump. And facts are facts. They talked, and will handle the next incident accordingly.

This kind of stuff needs to be handled by the drivers anyway. There is no sense in tearing up somebody else's equipment. Just go down to their pit, and have a 'man to man talk'. And then go on.

It worked for Jack Hewitt, Bob Kinser, etc. B)
