Why support a track that only runs every now and again, maybe if they pay 1000.00 to win 100 to start. what a waste of a good track

Roar of Racing Engines to Return to Millstream Speedway in 2010 Monday, Feb. 8, 2010

FINDLAY, Ohio - The roar of racing engines will once again fill the air at Millstream Speedway in Findlay, Ohio in 2010.

After sitting idle for nearly nine years, Millstream Speedway reopened in 2008 and the fans showed their support by packing the historic track's grandstands. Now, Fremont Speedway Promoters Rich Farmer and Andy James hope to continue that excitement as they have signed a lease agreement with Millstream owners Greg and Mary Beth Roe to promote races at the Findlay, Ohio speedplant in 2010 and beyond.

"We have leased the facility from Greg and Mary Beth and are planning to run three to four races this year with more to come in 2011," said Farmer.

"The fans have shown beyond a doubt they want racing at Millstream and we are going to work hard to provide them with the fun and excitement they have come to expect there," added Farmer. "We look forward to building great relationships with the people in the Findlay and surrounding communities along with establishing business partnerships that will benefit everyone."

Farmer noted the ties between Fremont Speedway and Millstream go back to the 1960s and 1970s and at one time the Findlay track was owned by then Fremont Speedway promoters Paul and Dot Szakovitz.
While no firm schedule has been set for racing in 2010, Farmer did note the popular Ohio Sprint Speedweek featuring the O'Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions will return on Sunday, June 20 as the third leg out of the nine straight nights of racing.

"We have a great group of employees at Fremont and that will help us tremendously in getting Millstream going," said Farmer. "We know we have a lot of work to do and we will roll up our sleeves and get going soon."

Farmer said improvements will be made to the track's lighting and sound systems and plans are to reopen the track's main concession stand. Farmer said Millstream's website -millstreamspeedway.com - will be updated soon as well.
