I want a kia parts change of my car's headlights to a more powerful bulb. Will I have to take off the bumper as above or can I do this at home? What brand/make of bulb can I use to get more light on the road. I googled "bright bulbs" and I am curious about the PIAA HID as replacement bulb. Any other suggestions?

You will need to remove the front and rear bumpers along with the engine and tranny to replace the head lights in this car. Just kidding. Drive the car to the nearest auto parts store and they will show you how. It takes 30 seconds to do. They have brighter bulbs that fit into the old socket.
Fire all your guns at once.

194 bulb. BTW, you dont need to remove that inner panel at all. Just push up on the amber lens, then lift out at the bottom, and rock the lens out. The bulb comes out with the lens, takes about 30 seconds to replace a bulb.
