Heard at the drivers meeting on Saturday that there are rumors going around about Eldora 2011 racing season but we should not believe all we hear.
Anybody know what the rumors are? I have not heard anything new just old news that they are going to replace the stock class with something else. Don't know why they would do that if they do.
Anything else out there floating around?
Eldora Rumors ???

Montpelier is on the verge of dropping their stock car class for next year also from what I have heard. They wrote the rules to allow Eldora and Lima stocks and the only ones that show up are Tony Anderson every week and Bob Sutter once in a while. I read on here quite a bit that you guys want to race, but when Eldora is off I still only see a couple cars come to Montpelier. Eldora seems to be moving closer to a specials only schedule every year. I'm sure a lot of guys out there are like me and want to race but just don't have the money, but with the way things are going right now there may not be very many stock car races in this area next year.

I think its either $200 or $250. I thought they were going to raise it but the payout on the website shows $200. It is a guaranteed payout though so even if they have 5 cars thats what you get.

Thanks to the guys that came to Montpelier. Car count was up a bit to 14. Last year when the new promotor took over they were averaging about 12 to 15 modifieds. He made a guaranteed payout at $400 to win and said he would raise it if car count went up to over 20. It did by the end of the season and now they pay $500 to win guaranteed for mods. He would do the same for the stocks if we can get to where we have around 20 each week. I know this is the Eldora forum, but if you guys are looking for somewhere to go race on a weekly basis, Montpelier is a good place to do it.
