Another topic has went off subject. Some should have asked around pits Wed. nite what some of the race teams "likes and dislikes are" across the country. I am sure limaland was at its best with a big show. Some that travel might tell you-there are tracks in no mans lands that are not the BEST facility, but people fill the stands like they came out of ant hills with standing room only. So Best facility isn't just the answer. There are tracks that have the best food and some food not so good. Not the only answer. There are tracks that the WELCOME and atmosphere is a 5 star package. For a couple examples they escort the race rig with foue wheeler to parking area and wish each team "best of luck" and tell them if you need anything let someone know.Later they may be back around with four wheeler with bottlles of water for race teams. SMALL, SMALL things and have nothing to do with being on race track, but hospitality is great and at the pay line they say Thanks for coming. Most tracks know they are the HOST and their P R person knows that means PUBLIC RELATIONS. Let's not give up maybe someday Limaland can be a 5 Star complete package .

I know exactly what you mean about some tracks do and some tracks don't. There are crapholes that treat everyone better than family, and then you have the New-looking fancy tracks that are all business! However Most tracks Do respect their regulars, sometimes even enough (some tracks) to accommodate their rules alittle (flat tires and hanging body parts, etc. little things that help the racers out) giving the hard workin, low budget racer and the traveling teams a second chance if you will, due to the cost of the sport and hope of a alittle better payoff at the end of the night, if you know what I am trying to point out. All tracks have favorites I don't care where you go, you won't fix that Without those guys that bust their buns all week to come out and entertain us race fans and risk their own lives to do it, a race track is simply a field of dirt with some bleachers. I happen to RESPECT those drivers and it don't matter what they drive! I just Wish CERTAIN Speedplants did too! I too see what is going on in Lima and I know I am not the only one, just look at all the teams they have lost I know this has been touched on so many times before and I am not even sure why I even bother posting anymore? A Good Race Track is backed and ran by a Good Staff-Individuals that truly love the sport like the REAL fans and racers do, and NOT treat it like a job. And Yes Skip it does just go on and on, but there is reason for that, besides I know of a track not far from Lima that would Love to have what Lima has, but I think they would know what to do with it!!! OK I'm done, prolly just gonna get a bashing anyhow, so be it! You have a right to your opinion, There are people at lima who do love the sport. Gene is one person who really loves the sport and talks to all of the drivers. He really feels bad when some thing like last night happens. Like i said before it was a hot humid night and his main water truck the pump went down and the other truck he said he could proably un zip his pants and put more water down. There are other people behind the scenes who do really care. Every person who runs a track has to some times put his foot down, yes it might tick some off, Ive heard Dean have to get after some people and show them the road. Plus what i have said before Earl chased Ferkel out of Eldora one night with a ball bat, Ferkel came back and raced later. There is no perfect track around . Thats like the guy that got kicked out of lima at the allstar show every one was blaming Jarvis when it was the allstar official who saw what happened and made the call. But it all comes down on lima for it . I think every one could sit and tell you things about any given track. The main thing is support what ever track you choose to and if you looked at the grandstands for the Doty and the Allstar show they were filled. There are proably more cars sitting because of the economy than people who are mad and wont come back. You have proably what Brecht,Boughan, Miller and Shepard all with out rides. These are very tuff times right now and think every one should try and support yr local track, no kissing up here just speaking my opinion.

Just want to clear something up here. Gene Frankhart Is the Best in the Business, I HOLD him Next to the retired Mr. Earl Baltes! And if it was NOT for Gene, those stands would not house many today, and I'm sure the car counts would be worse than they are on a Reg. nite, in my opinion!
I have been around awhile TOO!!! I seen Gene take Attica from the infield of a Horsetrack and make it into what it Still is today! When I said Track Staff, I should have been more specific, and that is my bad! Everyone is nice to me on that Staff, BUT I am a Fan, I was referring to the Drivers and their teams and how they treat them ON THE TRACK! I meant the part of the Staff that is responsible for making the decisions involving the Race Program, But my Post should have been clear about that, because I never once mentioned track conditions/prep or the Owner??? When I go to Dirt Tracks I expect DUST, therefore I do NOT have a problem with that, as long as they can Race on It! And as far as putting The Foot Down, Understandable, my whole post was about CUTTING some Slack!!! These Race Cars are NOT Cheap and they are Not built to be Loaded Up! The Economy is mentioned on here all the time, How would you like to bring It, have a simple problem then be told TOUGH CRAP, Load it up, and better luck Next Week?????? How long do you think owners are gonna do that? The On Track Race Staff needs to Respect That Fact! My Opinion, You are Not Required to Like It 2019 Race Counter - Total- 32 + (Rainouts- 13) Atomic- 4, Attica- 6, Eldora- 10, Fremont-6, Wayne County-2, Waynesfield- 3, Winchester-1,
