Waynesfield removes Sunday, August 15th show from schedule.

WAYNESFIELD, Ohio

The racing event at Waynesfield Raceway Park for Sunday August 15th has been removed from the 2010 schedule due to attendance concerns. The event was added earlier this season with the intention of giving the fans a 2 day show to enjoy, but with the attendance levels at WRP not improving as hoped, this show is not feasible to put on at this time. Track promoter Dean Miracle had this to say, “With our fan base not improving, we just can't justify asking the fans to pay for 2 nights of racing when it's hard enough to get them here for one. We are dedicated to making the remainder of our regular season schedule a great one, and by removing this added program, we will better be able to concentrate our efforts on doing just that.”

There are still several great events in the works at Waynesfield in 2010, including the 2nd Annual Jack Hewitt Classic presented by Aesthetic Finishers this Saturday August 7th. Also the 10th Annual Big Dawg 100 for UMP Modifieds makes its first ever appearance at WRP in September. In addition to those great shows, Waynesfield also has a stout weekly racing program consisting of 4 to 5 classes of cars every week, including a rotation of Winged 360 and Non Wing 410 Sprint Cars, UMP Modifieds, 1000cc Mini-Sprints, 4 cylinder Tuff Trucks, and Compacts. What is your problem? Get a life besides Waynesfield. Do you always have to be a negative person. Do you think Dean put stuff on the schedule so he can take it off and upset people? If thats the way you think then your not very smart or your chain of thought is a little screwed up.

I do have a racing life and thank god it doesnt include WRP cuz if it did i would never get to go racing. And once again i am not complaining im just asking a question to see if anyone was actually surprised that another race was dropped. Its also funny how all of you have been on here the last couple weeks saying that the stands seem like they are getting fuller every week but then the promoter cancels due to no one showing up, i havent been to WRP in a while so which one of you is more full of it????

I think you do not understand what you read the first time so you might want to read it twice before trying to start trouble. Since you do not support this track I will no longer need to talk to you. You haven't stated any track you support so I guess you are an internet race fan. Don"t no and don't care. But for your info the reason if you would read the post again. It is about racing for 2 days in row and splitting the fan base.

If dean was so concerned about racing 2 nights in a row and splitting the fan base then maybe just maybe he should not have scheduled a 2 night race. Makes sense. I go to LMP, Eldora, Attica and Fremont and i would make it out to WRP if they would stop changing their schedule and start racing

I missed a good race but no matter where the race was saturday i would have missed it i had previous commitments. And I know when WRP races the racing there is some of the best around the only problem i have with WRP is the schedule changes they seem to always make. But its cool I will try to get back to WRP at some point this season just not exactly sure as to when.
