Any possibility of seeing maybe a couple non sanctioned non winged sprint races in the future?

I'd love to see this as well, and really there's no reason they couldn't add a show or two to the schedule yet this year. Wingless has really grown in western ohio since waynesfield has supported them for years now. They're getting a ton of good cars now, with some big indiana names, as well as locals buying cars to run since it doesn't take as big of a budget to be competitive without all the downforce. I'd see this show for sure.

I think lima would be surprised at the number of cars they might get.

I would love to race non-wing at Lima! I have always thought Lima would be a great non-wing race track.....If Lima and Waynesfield would both run non-wing in the same weekend...paying the purses that currently pay, both race tracks would average 30+ cars! Lima already has a good fan base but i truely think fans would love the racing non-winged 410 sprintcars would produce at Limaland! Is there any chance Lima would try a race at the end of the year?Landon Simon

I talked to fricke friday night about it he said he wanted to do one this yr but gas city kept scheduleing against it. I talked that night to a couple of non wing drivers and both said who cares about gas city you would pull about all the cars who run WRP. We need one or 2 non wing shows on off nights.

Why would Limaland and Waynesfield ever want to work together? It would make too much sense to work with each other and try to schedule shows that benefit the people who support their tracks.

no one supports waynesfield when they run non wing sprints , why the hell do you think they would suport them at limaland? you just dont have that many non wing fans in this area, you guys need to wise up. all non wing cars are confined to certain areas where they have raced for many years, and they economy wont support it right now.

Oh really, I happen to love both. Wings, and non-wings are a whole different ball game. They are both great. And so are the drivers who are able to pilot these machines. I fully support both classes. WMP was a good track for both. Things just needed to be done differently. Like working with other tracks. And advertising for each other. Big E and Lima do it all the time. I wish something could be done about WMP.

Wow i dont believe this, when usac was at lima there sure was a big crowd. As far as WRP non wing class there are a lot a 360 drivers out there. Plus at least 30 cars on any given night . Maybe take off the wing and try it some time. makes no diff to me wing or non wing bring them on. WRP started with 3 cars talk about no interest!!!!

you may like both types of racing , but you are a small majority and i am not talking about getting cars i am talking about getting people in the stands , Dean was lucky to get 400 people in the stands on a non wing show.and skip when usac came to limaland they did have a big crowd because it was a special show not a weekly show, and usac has a large following.i bet if they ran non wing cars at limaland every weekend the crowd would drop.and i dont dislike non wing cars but people around ohio are used to wing cars. what other track in ohio runs non wing cars every weekend????

I think ill jump on the "I'd like to see wingless sprints at Lima" side of fence. Limaland has a definitive schedule and it works. You know what runs every week. But I'd like to see something different once in awhile. I anticipate the late models every year only to have it rain. You are right about this being winged sprint territory, but Lima gets lots of its attendance from "corporate nights" and the school. Plus if it was scheduled along with the Indiania tracks taking a night off of course you will draw some of their cars and fans who wouldn't normally attend Limaland. Either way I hope you folks enjoy the last few weeks of the season.
