In the Limaland program, it lists past winners, drivers with most wins, etc... However, they only list the past 13 years, apparently forgetting the 62 years that came before UNOH took the controls. It doesn't seem to me that it would be that difficult to find results going back further than 13 years. I would be interested to see how drivers like Doc Dawson, Dick Gaines, Rick Ferkle, etc.. fare against the drivers of today. Just my two cents. I know it's hard to believe, but there WAS racing before UNOH owned the facility.
Ive always said that i would like to see a program with some of the older pics. Jerry clum , tommy ward, the hookers and Kennys dad has some of the old programs and pics i think. Some of that info might be hard to find. One past champion who had several track championships was Dean Paxton #99 little devil. Thats like i have said before Allentown ran a couple of trucks with the stocks in the 60,s there was 3 of them. There are proably a lot a people at the track now that could proably come up with some pics from the past if the info was just brought to them and asked.
Ricky boughans dad might have some pics. Jeff williams dad ran back then and Jeff might have some. The info is proably out there but wonder if any have asked for it. I know they did put some older pics a few yrs ago in one of their programs.
Yea that makes no sense, when the track has a 73 year Anniversary Race or whatever year it is as part of their Never Changing schedule every year, and then the program only goes back to when the University Purchased it???
There were alot of Heros and Blood, Sweat, and Tears before the school ever got ahold of it!!! Only track that I know of that has done it's history this way??? Damn Shame if you ask me

How many can remember when Danny Smith drove the yellow #4 for Denny Hooker. I would have to say as far as wins and championships would have to be Dean Paxton. ( hope I spelled his last name right. )
A lot of great history at Limaland like when Dick Gaines won a 100 lap race, it was like a who's who of drivers that have driven there, but Schraderfan since you don't think it would be to hard to find out the wins of all the drivers that ever won there maybe you can research that and let us know because i would like to know all the winners to but i don't know how i could find all those facts unless somebody is around that had all the stats, Jerry Clum would be the first one i would start with, Good Luck.
I think Clum lost a lot of his stuff from a fire and water damage. Thats what i have heard dont quote me on this but thats what ive heard.
I know the first champion when they changed the racing surface and put the banking in was Doc Dawson. If i can remeber i think thats when they changed the name form allentown to limaland, But i could be wrong on that.
By the way Kenny i think Bobby Grear might of been the 2nd champion. In that red car with the big fin on the back #56.
Thats a shame to hear that Jerry Clum may have lost alot of his stuff Skip. I still have alot of the VCR stuff that he did, and they have held up good over the years.

Well Obviously That did not work, Sorry??? But anyway I did get results, from 1967 on to about 1991, but I did notice that there were alot of repeating stats, you'll see what I mean if you mess with it, but it does give you a sense of who was driving what back in the day , so I guess all I can say is just play with the site till ya get something??????????

Looks to me like a Database problem, because of the repeating, It's like an Access program repeating itself? Anyhow I know alot of those names ran in Fremont and Findlay back in the day, the Harrison would have to be Darl Harrison, 1972 USAC rookie of the year, and who could forget Jim Linder, especially for someone like me that grew up in Fremont

When they ran on a sat night you got about all the guys from fremont, Then you would get the ones from penn. Lima use to run on sat night until earl took it over. Eldora ran on friday nights. The 60,s 70,s and early 80,s you got all the big names. Swindell ,Kinser, even sheldon, bobby black, Mike johnsom, mark caldwell , butch wilherson, chuck amati, Linders, harrison, buckey traveler, wild child, Kenny jacobs, harbor , van dub may, allen, snellbaker, tommy dickson rollie beale, then you have the limaland regulars. So much talent that would put the putlaws down. Most of them turned into the outlaws.
I think need for speed said his dad had some old film of lima i think thats what he said.
Jerry Clum use to have a web site with a few old pics, it said he would be adding more but since then i think its down , cant bring it up.
Dad definately has some Lima footage. He spent many a night on the hills at the light poles, with the film camera.
I remember spending almost all night one time, at Jerry Clum's as a kid (late 70's). Jerry and dad were going through dad's footage, and Jerry was copying some of it.
I have a black and white 8x10 picture of me posing with 'Flyin Freddy Linder', after Fred won that night at Limaland in the white #55.
Limaland was a really tough place to win a feature at. And if you did, you beat the best drivers and cars around for several states.
