Some 2010 facts worth noting....Gene frankart has limas surface awesome. Very smooth and very racey. L5 and 22t mods have gotten way better this year- drivers are workin hard on and off the track and its showin. Jeff Koz is tough here as the season ends...oh and its and its not even the good car (new car should be even faster) Sprints title is up for grabs and the racing in this class has been way better this year than in previous seasons. terry hull and todd sherman both deserve the title but we know they won't take the other out just to get it. Stock class has more depth this year from a talent stand point. paladino, Z. bowen, koz, post...guys who have made impact on the season with strong runs. oh and the vets continue to be tough as ever (tony bowen barney). tim allison still has what it takes as proven last week. And even though lima takes its share of bashin its still the best place to race. Facility, Payout, Competitors, Fans-by far and away the best.

People can whine about lima all they want to but even thought car counts are down in some classes , there has been some great racing, and the fan base is always there. The biggest thing is Jeff Jarvis hiring Gene frankhart. Gene has provided racers and fans with some awesome 3&4 wide racing all yr. Cant forget the exciting Doty classic what a great addition in the past yrs not one bad race. You have to admit not one class is there a run away for the points championship , about every class will proably come down to this last week of racing. WHAT A AWESOME YR.

Lets just turn that comment around. Dont forget one of the UNOH students has made the king of the 1/4 mile. He almost didnt make it on the last lap coming out of #4. remember who nailed him?? Enought said. #6Posted 23 August 2010 - 10:30 AM
I was there for the first time this year and watched Ralston take out the school car and took it flat out. No lifting off the gas in front of the whole field of cars in there heat race. To me the school cars were holding there lines and not out of control as people have said in the past. Its racing and we have Great drivers - Good drivers - and and terrible drivers who always thing there on of the best drivers out there. The great ones with the good ones will always make a mistake once and awhile and cause a wreck the other drivers will be in alot of wrecks. Racing has never changed and will always have its people who belive they are beter drivers then the rest. Just my 2 cents worth. Any one that puts a car together in Sprints, Mods or Stocks deserve to be on the track.

college drivers have no respect for the other drivers..or don't have the common sense to stay out of the way. some can drive sure, but I bet alot of guys could win in those cars. just sayin they are a path of destruction. oh but its ok cause sometimes they apologize..but sorrys don't fix race cars. these kids don't have the first clue how much time and money it takes to fix their mistakes cause they don't finance the cars and there crew is about 20-30 guys that have "class time" to fix it

If u wouldve been there last wk u wouldve seen both college cars spin on the first lap of the heat. one on the bottom and one running the top. they both stayed on the gas and tore up both sides of my car causing me to pull off the track. ive supported the college drivers but it marked the 2nd time this yr i got tore up bad by a college car. i still have all the damaged parts as well as the tire and wheel lying here that were trashed because one driver didnt back out of the gas when he couldve #9Posted 23 August 2010 - 02:53 PM
Throw them away and get over it. I have many rims tires and other stuff that has been tore up from wrecks I can send your way. My bet last week both kids did not talk before there heat race and say lets both wreck on the first laps and take both sides off the 71 car. Stop and think about it and as far as the collage yes they are always after the kids on how much time and money it takes to fix them cars. I have been in your shoes and had one of my cars wrecked by the collage car and I have had many of my cars wrecked by regular drivers more thow. In this sport you are going to wreck people and get wrecked by others as well. All you can do is fix them and return the next week.

thanks bring them to the track ill take all you want to give me. i did let off the gas and barely touched the college car that was already clear sideways'when he started 2 spin i got back in the gas so i wouldnt get ran over from behind. he shouldve held his line on the bottom through the first turn. im sure if i wouldve jumped all over the brakes i wouldve caused or been in a wreck by stackn everyone up behind me but if ur an xracer im sure u would know that. i took my punishment and started on the tail and then took my punishment for going to the infield for a 2nd caution i didnt cause. its all good though and i think cale is a good kid that i wouldnt have spun intentionally. u should come back and race and lets c how u fair and if u still feel the same at the end of the season. we need more cars before we dont have a class #11Posted 24 August 2010 - 12:55 PM
I own the 8c and 62 cars of Conover and Gossard, I have been there with the drivers and did not stand for it either. As far as the brakes and gas you never touched the brakes and stayed flat on the floor he was not out of control and had his line held. You were on a mission to get even with the collage cars for the week prior. You could tell in your post you wrote. I belive I will be at lima this week with Dave Hollen again or might have Kevin in the car stop by we can talk. Tim

you said you were there for the first time last week. then you missed these freakin idiot college kids destroy some stuff all season...sure accidents happen but every week by the same cars? its ridiculous. and until you have ran all season or seen whats been happening THIS YEAR you should keep your comments in check. and I don't support any particular driver but if the 71 did take out a college kid then its about time somebody did

Ok people lets sit back and take a deep breath. Every driver has to start somewhere. I dont recall any driver starting out in racing and automaticaly there a flawless driver. No driver is perfect and every driver makes mistakes. The college has a great program for these kids to learn from. YES I do understand where alot of you are coming from. Trust me, driving on dirt is NOT IN ANY SENSE as easy as it looks. Lets go out there Friday night have a great time for the last show of the season at Limaland and let what has happened in the past, be the past. Good luck to all the drivers.
