Shadybowl

Check this crap out. Shadybowl Speedway is trying to pull racers away from other Saturday night tracks by paying them a bonus to race at Shadybowl. They are willing to pay compacts that are in the top 10 at WRP a $50 bonus just for coming to Shadybowl to race.

I think this is terrible PR for a struggling track. Some of the racers that will get the extra $50 may think it's great but just remember........you'll be racing against V6 compacts plus you'll be turning your back on WRP, JR & Sons and Curt Frazier that has supported you all season.

I just think this is a deceatful trick.

Your right Dan and that shows the desperation that has set in there. Whats realy sad is that he wont pay his own guys but will pay ours in order to steal them. Maybe we need to set a week or two aside with no points on the line and invite his guys to run with us v6s and all. After all turn about should be fair play.

No crying here.......Mr Keyboard Cowboy. Just stating facts.

If you've ever visited the bowl you would kow what I was talking about but that would require you leaving your keyboard.

More posts than you only because I've been a member since 1999/2000. As far as other tracks....yea I've visited and raced at many. Every track has it's good points and bad points.....even WRP has things that could improve. I talk highly of WRP only because it's newer than any track in the area and we need to support it to help it grow. I don't care if it's Dean or who it is that runs it.....I'm going to support it. My original post was about another track taking a stab at stealing cars away. Not a good business move if you ask me.

And just where is is this track you speak of? IMO the ones who cry about WRP have no idea how bad some of the others are. Now I know there probably is some where better, but I'm getting tired of hearing about how bad the place is and who needs to go so some can get their way. If you don't like it stay away and leave the rest of us alone.

WRP the track is awesome i love the racing there its mainly the guys running it that i have a problem with. The track is fast and very racey and the drivers are awesome. Its the guys that just get on here and run their mouths about other tracks that agitates me. Just like this topic if its bugging you that shadybowl is giving incentive to ur compacts dont get online and whine and cry about it. Give inventive to their guys to come down here and race. How about what Kokomo did a couple weeks ago anyone who travels to the track receives 50 bucks in gas (kokomo did 100 bucks tow money) but get a local gas station to sponsor a big compact show for shadybowls drivers and give each one of them a gas card to whatever station u get to sponsor the race. Instead of whining just get even

I use to race at WRP in a truck a couple of years ago,I have not raced there since dean took it over, I have gone to watch a couple of times and they always run a great show and move it right along. I plan on running there saturday night in my Modified. I have know dean along time though, and i know he is trying his best,he is very passionate about local racing and remember the dissions he makes are BUSINESS you don't run a track and put on a show to loose money. It might anger some people but it is a Business!!!!!!!
