Well....the great crowd should tell them something, that it is too early to end the race season...football, and fair be damned. I see nothing has changed. Please put Gene Frankart in charge OF THE ENTIRE PIT OPERATIONS. -Tell me how THE LEADER can be charged with jumping the start on a restart....especially when he was restarting the same place everyone does, and has all year. There's no one out there I wanted to see win more than Jeff, but that's just a plain crapcall. Way to go. -Stock B: Was I counting wrong, or did they run a B-main to send ONE CAR HOME???? Are you kidding me???? These guys work as hard as ANYONE on their cars, and have to go out there and get torn up to save Lima the $10 difference of starting money vs. B money...to send one effing car home. Seems to me like all you have to do is drive through someone and/or pop their tire and you're automatically in the A. Wait, that's kinda what happened isn't it? Lima is just as much to blame for the response as -anyone- involved. One car flat drove through another one. I understand I wasn't in the car to see first hand what happened. I also know if you cream someone's LR with the center of the nose piece, that was either intentional or incredibly stupid. I don't blame the guy for his "Days of Thunder" re-enactment under yellow. I'd have done the same thing. Actually, I HAVE done the same thing...at Lima. I do have to ask why the , barney fife security guard thought it was OK to put his hands on my friend when we asked "Cole Trickle" if they needed some help loading up? Your same guys put their hands on the 3j 410 driver this year, and threw him out for pushing him away after the "security" put his hands on him. Listen, I don't care who you are....you do NOT have the right to SHOVE someone who was doing nothing...in either of these cases. My friend was nearly knocked down, and was quite upset about it. We were having a great time at the races (we love lima actually), so I just said chill.....let's go elsewhere. Now...were you guys paying attention to the crowd response to the gentleman who did the "payback"? I am not asking -anyone- to condone this type of behavior. I myself, do not agree with it. I also do not agree with others getting away with whatever they want (as long as they are regulars). Bowersock got screwed, and the 21z should have been black flagged for rough driving. The crowd loved it, and that stuff will keep fans coming back. Whatever penalty the 419 got, the 21z should have gotten the same.... Now I don't want to sound like the rest of the whiners, but I think some heads need to roll (and some people REPLACED) at Lima. If you can't realize that Gene is the best thing to happen to Lima, then I got nothing for you. Give Gene the keys, and send Bob packing. Tim Cole #5 410 sprint car.

Tim get off the pc and get your ride ready for sat night and keep it in one piece Duane nneds a ride after the races. I think at the start of the race they should use a starting point some thing like some one said a chalk line. Then on restart they should allow the leader to start it some where in #4, but the one leading shouldnt get put back for jumping. They nned some kind of a flashing light on the out side of the track that flashes a different color instead of the normal red yellow and red. Then when it goes out you can hammer down. The red lina on the wall was a little to hard to see at night. I dont think they need a texas start like yrs ago they would start about going into turn 3. I think Jerry had that race feel a little sorry for him a lot a people felt the same way..

Coming from a friend that was on the pit side lastnight. They let the 5x get away with starting the same way 3 times. They did nothing about it for 3 times what kind of bs is that. Bowersock got screwed badly. There is another incident that was a bunch of bs. In the stock king on the first start Anderson got a little loose and Koz hit him in the rear, NOT ON PURPOSE. Koz did his best not to but it happens. Koz stopped on the track and Anderson kept going. The put Anderson on the tail for stopping on the track. All I have to say is Fricki if you want your car count to go up, I suggest you take the little favortism and get rid of it quick. Anymore nights like that you will have even less cars. About the B main of the stocks. The 21z which got a flat and hit the 414 or whatever number the other car was. Its racing it happens. The result of the 414 purposely doing a days of thunder move on him is just plain crap. Lima did handle the situation well in most aspects. They told him to load up and get out. My question is why start the discipline now on rough driving? There has been cases this season where some others should have been told that also. Even if its for one night and they loose there points for that night. Would it be different if the 414 was a regular at Lima? I also agree with Dirtracer48 in his post as well.

Tim you just sealed you fate at Limaland. What you said is true, but it is their park and they will run it the way they want. Things like fair play, sportsmanship, & integrity, means nothing to the officials that make up and selectivity enforce rules. Remember the red distributor cap that was illegal when Jimmy drove my car? Anyhow I admire you standing up for what is true and right, however self absorbed, self centered officials will get you, because they are right, because they are the officials.

21z. drove over his head. but so has alot college cars this year.. shit happens. as far as retaliation..hes an idiot (419) and hope he is banned for life. he coulda hurt butch pretty bad and did alot of damage to the 21z. as for the 5x deal...horrible call. but its been a long known fact that the lima flag man is probably the worst flagger I have even seen. prolly wasn't his call but the flagger at lima is an idiot. babcock is a class act but jerry got robbed. i agree that lima could use a change in command. and congrats the winners. nice to close racing all night

Results (2010-08-27) - [close] Sherman, Stewart, Anderson win 2010 Limaland Championships, Schroeder takes NRA Crown The 2010 Limaland Motorsports Park racing season will go down in the record books with two of the three division titles ending in numerical ties, only to be decided by a feature wins/runner-up finishes tie-breaker formula. The K&N UMP Modifieds points chase was between two former track champions from Indiana, Todd Sherman and Terry Hull. Sherman held a slim two-point margin entering the night’s action, but he had the pole starting position for the feature, while Terry Hull was on the outside of row four. Casey Luedeke broke to the lead at the start, only to surrender the point on the second lap to Jerry Bowersock. Bowersock looked like a winner the previous week until a late race collision with a lapped car ended his evening. On this night, Jerry Bowersock executed an impressive pass on the inside of Luedeke on lap two and made it stick for the duration of the 20-lap event. “We tried to do this last week and it just didn’t work out,” said Bowersock. “Tonight I felt like I should be working the bottom and try not to make any mistakes.” Jon Henry, Terry Hull, Jeff Babcock and Todd Sherman rounded out the top five finishers, but not after some exciting racing action the included the matchup of Sherman and Hull for the track championship. Hull needed to finish ahead of Todd Sherman to have a chance for the crown and he did just that. Amazingly, Hull’s two position advantage of Sherman resulted in a numerical tie, forcing race officials to resort to the first level tie-breaker formula, feature wins. Todd Sherman had posted four on the season and Hull only three, giving Sherman the nod in the closest point’s decision imaginable. “The feature here I saw Terry and I was nauseated, thinking this is bad and maybe I haven’t been going as hard as I should,” reflected Sherman on his first Limaland title since 2004. “This field up front was so stacked, what a battle. I have a great crew that maintains my cars really well. I’ve been disappointed before here, so this one feels good. Amazing championship battle, I can’t thank God enough!” The closeness of a points chase became the theme also for the Sprints 25-lap encounter as both the Limaland Motorsports Park track title and touring Engine Pro/NRA Sprint Invader crown were to be decided. Butch Schroeder held a 24 point margin in the NRA points over JR Stewart, while Stewart was six points ahead of Schroeder in the Limaland points to start the evening. Veteran Tim Allison had won the most recent Sprint car feature at Limaland two weeks earlier and had the pole starting position on this decisive night. Allison roared to the front at the start and used different racing lines of the track in holding off a number of serious challengers. At various times, Luke Hall and Kyle Sauder pressured Allison, but were not able to take the lead at any point. “There is never a win that is easy here,” said the elated Allison of his third season win. “We didn’t win the championship, but to finish with a couple of wins late in the year and go out on top like this is almost a dream season.” The race within a race was between Stewart and Schroeder for the respective season crowns. They were aware of each other throughout the race, with Butch Schroeder posting a defining third place result to capture the NRA crown, while Stewart would up sixth setting up a numerical tie with Schroeder for the Limaland Sprints point’s title. Both racers had two feature wins on the season, and Stewart’s two runner-up results proved to be the difference giving the Bellefontaine veteran his second consecutive track crown. ”I feel really good to win the NRA championship,” said Schroeder. “A couple of tracks I thought I might be good at I was mediocre (Eldora and KC), but I had a good year here.” Stewart, unable to repeat as NRA champ was nonetheless pleased with another track title. “Me and Butch were running side-by-side for about the whole race and that’s the way a championship should be decided. I couldn’t be more proud of this team as they work as hard as anybody, with their effort in the shop and at the track. We had a new car this year and we kept trying stuff and obviously got it to work.” The final Budweiser Thunderstocks feature of the year was a fitting conclusion to the season as point’s leader Tony Anderson and runner-up Jeff Koz battled each other for the win in the 15-lap race. UNOH Racer Kody Weisner, a winner from earlier in the season, bolted to the front at the start and held the lead over Koz and Anderson for the first six circuits. Weisner, of Muskegon, Michigan, suffered a slight bobble and that’s all it took for Jeff Koz to make a pass for the lead. On the lap eight restart it was Koz, Anderson and Weisner at the front of the field. Anderson’s points lead was not mathematically safe entering the final race, but at 48 points it would take a near perfect night for Koz and disaster for Tony Anderson to give Koz the title. The two engaged in a stirring side-by-side battle, with Koz ultimately prevailing for the second time this season and in his stock car career at Limaland. For Bluffton’s Tony Anderson, it marked a sixth track championship. “It started to get rough out here about a month ago and I started to back off and look to win a championship, maybe more than wins,” stated Anderson. “A lot of these guys in this class have actually stepped up and made it very competitive.” The 12th annual King of the Quarter Mile races are 10-lap showdowns that pit the respective feature winners throughout the season against each other for thousands of dollars of additional prize money. Starting positions are determined by a random draw as young fans join in the festivities making the selections for the competing drivers. In the Sprints King race, Mike Dussel benefitted from the outside front row starting position. The veteran campaigner from Burgoon, Ohio, took full advantage and stormed around the fast topside of the track to post the win and pocket $3,000. Hammons Motorsports teammate JR Stewart and Luke Hall finished second and third, although never really threatening Dussel for the lead. The Modified King race was certainly the most hotly contested. Wapakoneta, Ohio driver Jerry Bowersock was leading the field and looked as thought he would add to his feature win of earlier in the evening. A restart at the race mid-point proved defining as officials penalized Bowersock for jumping on the gas too early. It appeared he went all out in turn three instead of turn four when the green flag unfurled. Bowersock was penalized one lap, giving Jeff Babcock the lead. The former track champion moved to the top and rode the cushion to the $2,000 victory with Bowersock finishing second. The Thunderstocks King event was a battle of attrition with Keith Ralston, Tim Bowen, Jeff Koz and UNOH Racer Kody Weisner all challenging for supremacy during the 10-lap shootout. Ralston t-boned his car into wall on the backside, Bowen suffered a flat tire, while eventual winner Barney Craig was the beneficiary of Koz, Tony Anderson and Kody Weisner battling with each other. Craig takes home the $1,000 in a season that saw him compete only part time, in the latter stages of the season. The final event of the 2010 season is the Limaland Motorsports Park Awards Banquet on Saturday, October 16 at the UNOH Event Center. From what I understand after talking to a driver in the King, Bowersox was warned over the radio about jumping the start before being moved back a spot. About a month ago the track told the drivers to restart at the cone and orange line and stated they were going to enforce the rule. Just because your the leaded doesn't mean you can restart anywhere you want, if that was the case he could start on the backstreach.

Were u there???? Cuz if not u shouldnt open ur mouth and if u were there then maybe u should open ur eyes a little next time. Bowersock started at the same spot as normal but Bob realized that the UNOH sponsored Jeff Babcock was not going to be able to get around the much faster Bowersock. It was one of the worst calls i have ever seen and I go to limaland a lot which means ive seen some pretty crappy calls. Bob screwed Jerry last night and I hope Jerry comes back next year and wins the limaland title just to rub it in Bobs face.

Real quick side note Jeff did what any other driver would do Bob handed him the race and he took it and thats cool with me not Jeffs doing he is a class act

Racer50 lets just say you dont know everything. I have a very, very reliable source. Bowersock was never warned for jumping. The flagmen is sorry, but pathetic. He has been horrible all year. The higher ups, B.F. needs to be replaced. Way to much favoritism and bad calls this year. And they wonder why the car count is low, possibly the situations Friday night could have an effect on that.

Racer 50 does have some facts correct. Bowersock was not warned specifically by name for jumping, but it DID go over the raceceiver about early starting more than once. He sealed his own fate. I can't say I'm a Fricke fan, but saying he stole the race, c'mon give me a break!

Here is what I don't get, why isn't the official that is always standing at the bottom of turn four making the CALL on starts and restarts??? His view would be the best in the house and a Helluva lot better than B.F.s from the fontstretch???

A certain couple of people at Limaland must have all the power. If they dont then they cant make it the way they want it to be. Pertaining to pedalsmashers post. Which makes logical sense.

I have been trying not to chime in on this, however the call I seen friday nite during the Mod. King race was the poorest example of officiating and the most obvious piece of evidence toward favortism that I have seen in my 34 years of racing! I have to agree with pedalmasher, that stripe was not visible due to mud almost the entire nite especially after the feature events and not one of the officials took a shovel to it? I also agree, the official at that starting spot should be making those calls! But dirttrackfan4life is also correct, there are a few select people that do have all the power and they abuse it terribly hurting the sport and Limaland. I was at Attica last nite and that call was the talk of the nite as I stood in the food line before the races - word travels fast!!! I personally think Limaland is way over staffed, they only need the one official, he is the only one making any calls anyway ;)

your right about the official in turn four, he has been the one to make a jumping the start call in the past. and i thaught that the starting point was to be an invisible line formed between the double tires in the infiled just at the edge of the track and the red stripe on the wall?
