We are new to attending Montpelier racing so we are wondering if last nights show is the typical Saturday night show at this track. I just can not believe how many spin outs and restarts there were. OH MY!!!! It seems to be a nice small track. I like the layout and the people were friendly. Thanks.

Saturday was extreme with cautions. It isn't that bad normally. I look to the sky and so the full moon does effect drivers like it effects farm animals. ha

No! It was an unusual night for sure in terms of spinouts and cautions. Typically we have very little of that.

Thanks to everyone who came out to race Saturday night. We had a lot of new cars last weekend and appreciate the teams supporting the track.

We will be in action this Saturday, October 2 with UMP Mods, Super Streets, Thunder Cars, and ModLites.

Our website will be completely updated tonight. It can be found at: http://www.angelfire...in4/montpelier/

We have some domain name issues so use the above address for track updates until we get them resolved.

I never really bought into the full moon theory until I started teaching. Now I can basically predict the days most of my students will be at their worst in terms of behavior. Its the same way with racing. Guys get impatient and drive over their heads when there's a full moon.

I think it would make a world of difference if they would find there water truck and use it! That track appeared to be a skating rink. The cars were almost coming to a complete stop in the corners and was one grove right on the bottom (follow the leader at half throttle). Sorry but thats not racing. JMO.

I agree with you. But since this was our first trip to the track I was not sure if that was the normal or not. So I did not make mention of it. It was sort of boring after the Mods were on the track and seemed to get it sealed over. Oh well, sometimes thats the way the cookie crumbles as they say. Looking for a raceier track next time. thanks for the comments.

Its not that dry slick all the time. The high winds play a big part in the track. The dry slick takes it out of the engine and put it in the drive and car setup hands. If they dump to much water out there its not to fun either cause it takes to long to come in.
