anybody know how locals did at brownstown?
I haven't seen the results posted anywhere but I'll let you know to the best of my ability:
Mods: I'm pretty sure that Tony Anderson was 5th in the A-Main. Andy Bibler missed the A-Main due to getting run over in a qualifying race.
Non-Wing Sprints: Jared Horstman was 14th in the A.
Mini-Sprints: I'm not sure where Jared ended up but he had a pretty good run going. He was fast in his old 600. not bad for sitting in the barn for so long.
Super Stocks: I never had a chance to see where Tony Anderson finished but I know he was in the A-Main. He was facing some stiff competition in this class but he did very well!
Mini Trucks: Derick Noffsinger, Chris Hicks, Matt Twining and Randy Hamp all raced. They too were facing tuff competiton. They were racing against mini-late model looking trucks. Overll they fared really good. Chris Hicks was fast and started outside pole. His throttle linkage fell off on the start and since he got out of his truck they DQ'd him. He received credit for 12th. Matt Twining I beleive made it up to 5th. Derick Noffsinger was either 6th or 7th. And I think Randy Hamp was 10th.
Compacts: I drove my son's car at Funfest. There were 55 compacts in the class. I ended up winning the B-Main. By lap 15 I was making my way through the field and up to 9th. A car spun in front of me and I ended up hitting him which in turn broke my left front cv joint. I was given credit for 17th in the A.
Lima area was well represented there and we all had a wonderful time!!!!
