Not to sound bad, but on racing its not "how much does it cost". Its "how much are you willing to spend". Any engine builder/machine shop will build a motor to your budget. If you are just looking locally, then Kalvenator in wapak is close and has had decent success lately. I think the Napa on market street builds race engines under the name BMS. Those are just a few "local/Lima" ones. Motors out of Indiana been doing pretty well. Dargie, Hogue just two that come to mind. By no means is this an advertisement for any above named companies. And was in no way putting down any engine builder I didn't mention.

There is a newer engine builder in Ill. who is looking to get his name out in this area, and building some kick ass modified engines for dirt track racers in the mid west right now. They are called new Convenant Performance Inc. they are located in Mount Auburn,Il. there number is 217-827-3094 ask for greg. I am planning on useing one of there engines in my asphalt ARCA sportsman car this year. Just a suggestion.
