We lost a true ambassador to the sport of racing in Bill. I've enjoyed every conversation I've ever had with Bill and feel blessed to have known him. You will be missed Bill!!!

To all I would like to say thanks for helping Dad continue racing. Over the last year it has been rough. When we were in Indianapolis after his surgery the only thing that kept him going was the thought of getting back to racing. In the past few days he went quickly and did not suffer. We knew last night when he could not wake up and respond that it would not be much longer. To Randy and the crew....THANK YOU for building his new truck and bringing it home for him to see.. I can't say enough how much it meant to him and us. I will keep you all informed of the times for the funeral. Thanks for all your prayers Larry Gross

RIP Bill. Bill was a great guy. I knew Bill for as long as my dad raced at Waynesfield. I can Remember him always being happy to be at the track. He was a big inspiration to anyone who knew him. He was one of the strongest guys I knew and I dont know if anyone could had have a greater love for racing then Bill. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Tne first race of the season last year, Bill was in the stands at WRP, when i broke in the heat race. Bill came down to pits and helped tear apart motor, ran to his house twice and appologized for not having the right parts. This is the kind of racer Bill was. Bill will be missed.

Bill was one of the first guys to ever come into our pits when we struggled. First night we ever raced, HE was there, trying to help us get started!

That is the model of being a great racer! A total sportsman, who was there to have fun.

We're gonna miss our very dear friend, Bill Gross.

PS,...

if you can hear us Bill, make absolutely SURE you kick that Dale Sr. guy's butt on the race track, at least WON time, at that great race track in the heavens.

I really think that he'll even smile, too!!!

I was lucky to have met Bill. One can only hope to have as much joy racing as he did. WRP truck class will never be the same. Take one more lap Bill, you deserve it.
