You need spark, fuel and compression for an engine to run. You need to check these things first.

Maybe, bypass the switch. It may have gone bad. If pump is running, battery good. Should have bought a Chevy, lol

just take wires straight from battery to starter. if it every sat outside water could have messed up the switch, we had that happen once. Solenoid could be bad, tap on it, but if its not clicking juice probably not getting that far.

Why do you have to be negative toward the guy?? Atleast he is looking for help and wanting to learn and be at the track. Heck I would be the same way. I'm only 15 and if I didnt have my dad to help me out I would be screwed. But just becuase I dont know a whole lot about the motor, doesnt mean I'm going to go out and wreck people. You can't judge a book by its cover. Just my 2 cents

the Dr. of dirt racing has spoken, What the heck is that????? Do you even have a clue bout racing? even in the truck div people have put their hard earned money in their hobbie, then you have someone who thinks you just buy a race truck and go race is how its done...... you need to do a little homework first before you go out and make other racers mad. Don't take this the wrong way i'm all for new racers, but racers don't like paying for other racers experience. First thing you should think of is usually the last thing that people think of, SAFETY good suit and helment

Get off his sack man, you gotta start somewhere and he's trying to get his machine going. It's a good place to ask, although I agree with your last point.

Listen Intimidator, I am 59 years old, and I was probably watching racing before you were sh&$$ing your pants. I built my own race car and raced it, and I'm still on a pit crew. And where did the "safety first thing" come from? He has as much right to get out there and race as you, me or the president.

You just like to judge all kind of people dont you intimidator 1. Dr. Speedy has been around WRP for a while now as far as I know. And your right they dont like paying for stuff, but that doesnt mean he is just going to go out and wreck people. If you knew a lot about the truck division you would know that there are alot of drivers in the division that have started this way. Some of which who have moved up. So you cant judge them just because they dont know every aspect of there race car. Look like I said, I am 15 and dont have a clue about alot of the things with a car, as a matter of fact I started racing last year and that was the first time I had ever driven a car and I didnt go out there and wreck people. Your right, racers do need to do their homework, but it helps when you have a little experience on the track. Who knows, maybe he is going to come and be a front runner this year, you dont know. Just because drivers start out not knowing much about race cars, doesnt mean they can't learn and get better. I believe this is one of the reasons people who want to get into racing dont, because racers of a "higher" class murder them with comments. Merle, good luck this year and dont let people bring you down.

You know, all i asked for was help and now all of a sudden i am labeled a bad driver? just because someone is starting out in a truck doesnt make them a bad driver. the laps i completed last year.........well lets see..........hmmm never wrecked and i knew to keep out of the other guys, ways..........so if you think you have discouraged me.....you are wrong............im not afraid to ask for help........after all thats what we are here for.........not to cut each others throats.

sorry Merle, sometimes we get carried away on here. But we (most of us) mean well by protecting your right to race. Most folks are really nervous when you race for the first few times. It's just you have to realize that people aren't really trying to take you out. They are just trying to get to the front, just like you, beginner or veteran. The point being, have fun, and do your best.
