If anyone is interested I am selling $7 chicken dinners (includes: 1 piece of Chicken, two sides & roll) for 1st night of Waynesfield Racing
(Saturday, May 7th). The money is going towards the Jan Butler Fundraiser.
Jan Butler is my Step-Dad and was diagnosed with Lung & Thyroid Cancer December of 2010. He has since had two surgeries to remove the mass on his Lung and removal of his Thyroid and Lymph Nodes as recent as April 7th. We are having a Benefit/Poker Run on Saturday, May 7th at the Lima VFW Post 1275. There will be live music, 50/50, raffle items, games for kids and an auction for big items.

Mrs. Hicks.....sounds like a great cause. Not sure if I'll have time to eat it but I'll take a dinner for sure!
If anyone ever has anything like this that they would like to have at our facility we are more than happy to help out. We were just talking about having some sort of poker run during the day and having it end at the track in the evening. Our only problem is that we are not bikers and don't have the proper contacts to organize this. We would like to have a fundraiser type of ride like this sometime this season. One thought would be the toys for kids with cancer night?????
I'll climb off the soapbox now..........I'll be glad to purchase a dinner for this cause. Let me talk to my wife tonight and she if she wants one too. She's scoring this season so she'll be there too. I'll call you to give you a final count for me.

Mike melvin already has a flyer out around town for a poker run for Jan he has had it out for a while. Dont know where it starts or ends at.

Yes, Mike Melvin is helping by putting the Poker Run portion of the Benefit together. The Poker Run starts @ 12(noon) @ the Lima VFW and ends @ 4pm back @ the Lima VFW. I know there are 3 stops; Indian Lake, Celina and Delphos, don't know exact locations of the stops. It cost $10. a bike and that will get you 10 raffle tickets to win a possible 42" Flat Screen TV. The actual benefit also starts @ 12(noon) and lasts all day. Chicken dinners will be available from 4pm-7pm.
