Cmon folks. Ease up a little on Limaland. All tracks in the area (Attica, Millstream, and Eldora) all cancelled their openers due to weather or results of weather. I know we're all anxious to get out. Attica is still racing. Go there to get your racing fix for the week or maybe eldora tomorrow.

Take it for what its worth i talked to Gene last night and he said he has the track all dug up trying to dry it out. he said thru turns 1&2 are so soft that he dont think it will dry up in time. He said jarvis was leaving the call up to him. He was saying with the way eldora was and attica friday night because of the weather, he didnt want to risk the chance of tearing up some cars because of a track that is to soft to do any thing with. he knows what it costs to run a race car and he doesnt want to be the one with the wieght on his shoulders of having some cars get torn up because of the track. I heard there was a 8 inch rut at attica that caused byron reed to flip while leading the feature. Gene said he will take a lot a heat for the call but he would rather have a safe track than a unsafe one. I think every one knows how good gene is with working a track and no one wants to see the season any more than gene, but if gene said it wouldnt be a safe track i take his word for it.
here is some actual video footage of Attica last week (not someone telling Skip what their thoughts were on a scenario). You were mis-informed again Skip. Byron just hits the cushion wrong (after 30 laps) mind you. Nobody else got tore up by a (8" rut)!? If Gene is your lord and savior to prepping a track hows come they cancel so much? Shouldn't this genius be able to have it ready? Limaland is nothin but a tax write off! They don't give 2 whether there is racing or not! "Look at us, we have a NASCAR licensed race track now! We spend millions on facility improvements. Too bad we're cancelled cuz we're scared the track might be too soft, even though it's not even race day yet!!!!" I got your Frankfort!!!!!!! My brother in law saw the track yesterday and said it looked fine to race on. Here is a good idea, get a new owner, promoter, and track frankfooter. then maybe we can get some good racing around town, instead of the same boring stuff every friday. Im just sayin.
Well maybe you and your brother in law should step out behind a screen name and go to the proper people and tell them how it should be done. there has been some great racing since gene has been doing the track. look at pitgate they said you can count the number of people in the stands tonight. nights like that can hurt a track. If your brother in law was out there today he must go to the races. That or you and him just needed some thing for y and him to have a beef and run yr chops. Now who is taking the word from some one else. Did you look outside since about 7pm its been raining. Its hard on fridays for some to get off work get around and race to lima and make it so its a good idea to call it off early . Earnie woodard who gets off work at around 3 and has to fight traffic from ky to get here on time. Who wants to go to a track and watch push trucks run around for hrs . If you would of known what this place was like back in the 60,s you would be thanfull for what we have. Tony anderson told me one night people arent thankfull enought for what they have in their own back yards. If you have such a big beef with lima why werent you at attica tonight instead of on here yelling about the out come. unoh has put 22 kids this yr with nascar teams and 2 were hired on the spot for richard childress. With the others childress will be putting them with other teams. Did you read todays paper 1300 people have signed up for the nascar deal. seems like there are a lot a people who want to get involved. Why arent those 1300 on her complaining? I was one of the biggest pain in limalands back before gene was hired i ragged on them big time and heard them talking about it on their radios. But since they have made remarkable gains . tell me where you can see 3 and 4 wide racing. Mods use to run single file around the bottom and now they are 3 and 4 wide. I would rather wait for the track to be in great shape than listen to some one who gets on here and tells how it should be done. So you and your brother can go high five yourselfs to death. Limaland Motorsports Park is years behind Attica, i spend the extra money to drive to attica instead of driving 2 minutes down the road to limaland. If you would like to discuss any further my buddies and i sit in beer can alley when im at limaland, so please stop on by and we can discuss further. Oh and by the way Skippy, Attica did get there racing in tonight, im just sayin.
Beer can alley fiqures , i havent sat in a grandstand in proably 40 yrs all pits, Your problem is not me yr problem is with the management, take it to them instead . I dont go to the races to drink , I go to enjoy and remember it. i have the highest respect for any track but does the weather have some thing to do with it a post below from some one on pitgate. A bad night of weather, cold. and a chance of rain could be a cause with a low fan count . Nights like this could hurt a track , I know eldora took a big hit last yr with their first race. maybe waynesfield is doing the right thing by not starting until may.

I am at Attica tonight watching Cody race a 305...I thought i read somewhere that it paid $5000 to win the late model race, but i could be wrong. I can tell you that you could count the people in the stands tonight...there isn't anyone here...could be weather or admission prices, who knows. Wow, without 410 sprint cars the people just don't seem to come.
Dont let them get to ya skip, with an attitude like that they can stay at attica. Sounds like their just a couple of pretty boys that sit in the stands and dont have a clue about racin. Hell no one wants to get rained out, we are all ready to get some racin in. See ya next week weather permitting.
