At some point for Way Back Wednesday I'm going to post some photos I took from an All Star Show at Lima circa around 1990 one week after Bobby Allen won the Knoxville Nationals. I actually got Bob to sign my Speed Sport News with the headline of him winning the Nationals. Probably my favorite collectible of all time. Needless to say the facility doesn't look quite as nice as it does now :-)

A lot a people just arent thankfull for what they have in their back yard right now for a nice facility. Thats what was cool about the old lima with the light poles in the infield with the mounds of dirt around them you could stand on the mound and Allen would run so close you could almost touch the wing. You could look right down in the drivers seat,it gave a new aspect to watching the races. Edited by skip, 28 April 2011 - 07:13 PM.
