heard the college cars out last night gettin some track time. lets hope they stick with selected drivers this year instaed of throwing new guys in throughout the year. also I am bettin stock counts shoot up to close to 28-30. vets are coming back and with rule change might see a few cars down from oakshade. mod count will be strong I am sure, but not certain bout the sprints...most expensive class has seen some top drivers missing last few seasons. and there aren't enough up and comers (jared horstman) to fill the void. *praying for sun

Pretty observant! They were testing out the new cars and some pretty wild suspension stuff last night. They were doing it under the cover of darknesss so fellow competitors would not be able to spy or take photographs of this new technology. It gets a little hairy running that fast in the dark but the headlights the fab class made helped a ton. Kind of surprised that you didn't hear the new front wheel drive ministock They are trying to develope. It was within .4 tenths of the modified. If the mufflers hadn't have been knocked off they might have been able to get this past you.

Chris i dont know the rules that much but i dont think they have changed any thing but the nascar deal. As for as Dirt track maniac you have 2 very talented young men coming in Mad Max watched him at WRP and the kid looked pretty smooth and fast, Then you have Beau Stewart a tuff cookie in a mini sprint, another good shoe, both of these young men from mini sprints and are very talented. Then i heard Ricky Boughan is on his way back. I got a feeling we are gonna see some others poping in. I think were in for a big season of racing.

Dirt Track mania there are plenty of up and coming young guns to fill the void. Horstman yes , but you have the Gehr brothers who are starting to show some muscle. Like i said above Mad Max and Beau Stewart two very talented hot shoes from mini sprints . Then you have Ray Marshall bring in Ethan Hoy, and Dereck Hastings who are starting to get it together., i heard there might be a 3rd. ( that could be hear say) . Hud Horton who was really getting around well last yr. Cant forget Dallas hewitt and Andrew Bowsher. Im proably leaving some one out but there are plenty of young talented drivers who given some seat time might be some future drivers to contend with. The biggest let down of this yr is no conformation yet if Mike Brecht has a ride. I cant believe that no one has picked him up. A lot a talent who deserves a ride. SOME ONE PLEASE GIVE HIM A RIDE IN A 360.

ok...yes there has been a rule change for the stocks..look it up. 108" wheelbase last year..this year 104" is allowed. this was done to allow the oakshade bombers to lgal at lima. they are gettin tons of cars in that class. like c and d mains. and while the names mentioned in the minis and 360s are solid drivers they don't replace WINNERS. long gone are the travis millers, bobby clarks, mike brechts, john hawks, mike linders, jeff williams, and eric slades of the world that were so fast at lima in a 360. yes there are luke halls and cub horton but its not the same class it was ten years ago is my point. i love that class but miss the big names that were so popular in 360s. and as for streihawk8 i have no clue what your talkin about dude

hmm, I think Jared Horstman is certainly a contender. Hud Horton has been close to winning a few times. Jarrod Delong was fast at times last year towards the end. Tim Allison ring a bell? These at least 2 new rookies in Stambaugh and Stewart havent even ran a race yet, but your quick to knock them down? Max told me that he feels comfortable in the car, and i heard he was pretty fast at waynesfield test and tune.

Jon Henry ran a mini sprint, look how hes doing now in a late model.

Well 10yrs from now they will be the contenders Stewart, Mad max and all of the above i mentioned. Yr stuck in the past like me. Where are the Doc dawsons Al Franks and all the others they were not 360 drivers but regulars at lima. If you like Jeff williams, his car is there Mad Maxs. Times do change you will never replace the ones you have said but there will be bright new stars to come along. Tim Allison will proably never give it up, he will proably be around for ever. Ive even heard Lieber might be back. Some decide its time to give it up and some the money just runs out. Now you have JR Stewart, Mike Dussel, Luke Hall, Mike Dunlap, Ron Blair, Kent Wolters, Tim Hunter, Kyle Sauder, Butch Schroeder Allison, Horstman, You dont call these winners? Ive proably left some out. But in my mind these are all great drivers and there are more. They alone if they were the only ones to show up it would be worth the money just to watch them race. Sorry Dennis Yoakum. Ricky Boughan and who ever else i forgot.

I sent Mad max a message saying that when he hit the track at WRP i thought some one was shaking the car down for him he was quick fast and holding a line. SMOOTH. Him and Stewart , It might take them a while to get the fast feel of it at lima but they are great little shoes.

I get yr point, but to me lima will never replace the 70,s when some of the greatest stars that ever hit limaland were there. About most of the heavy hitters from P.A.. Some who cut their teeth there. Kinser Haud Jacobs swindell. the list goes on. You will never replace the greats but there will always be up and comers.

Limaland should have never touched the race track when they "updated" between the 80's and 90's. If they wanted to tear down trees and pave things that's fine and dandy, but messing up the actual race track was just dumb!!!!

I dont know about that Langhaus brought the infield up about 3 ft and took most of the bankng out of it, but i never saw the 3 and 4 wide racing that you are seeing today. It was mostly 2 wide and the track wasnt as wide as it is now. Some great stars were in the 70,s i loved the 70,s But i thing the racing you are seeing now and some of Mike Campbells pics are showing the 3 and 4 wide racing. I remember as a 17 yr old in the late 60,s when they high banked it and i was out there every day watching the earth being moved i will never forget that. Thanks to Chester Cary, Duane headapol( sorry about the spelling of his name) and Mike millers uncle Neal Miller. They are the ones who turned the old Allentown around. Plus like i said before when Earl had it and left it sit, if Dean miracle wouldnt of had that one race for that yr they would of lost their zoning.
