What year did they re-do everything? I'm thinking 1992ish? Whatever the year was is when they officially wrecked it! The old Limaland was a fantastic race track, now it's a great facility with a dirt oval in the center. But hey, the Vip suites and the new sign out front look good!

Yes can't agree more nice sign out front there , well we now the lack of banking isn't caused by to much racing , so skip wat do you think caused this since you are the official excuse maker for Limaland . #7Posted 26 May 2011 - 06:13 PM
Skip not skippy, has only posted that several times Langhaus brought the infield up 3 ft, they even showed it in the Lima news paper when he took it over and did it. By the way the im not on the payroll at lima and i wasnt on the payroll when i worked at WRP for 4 yrs, and thinking about doing it again this yr. The winners of the chicken dinners are the ones who voice their digs behind a screen name, Have a nice day. Hope it clears up enought for WRP ,.

...lets be honest, if Ken Langhals hadn't of done his improvements, it probably would have fallen into the decade or two of inactivity like Millstream did.
While I've never turned a lap at Limaland in my life. I remember the early 90's very well and that place was a total hole. Even if the track was the best racing surface in the country...the facilities were awful and eventually no fans would have lead to no races.

I cant remember what yr Langhals did it. i was going out there about every week looking at the improvements. The ones to ask if i see them this weekend would be Rollie rinaldi and Skinny Kenny and his dad Ed, they were helping kenny redo the place. Rollie proably even did some of the electrical work. If you know either one of them and see them ask them kenny might know.

I have heard the same rumor, but it is a RUMOR. I would hope not, making all the race teams put an 100 stickers on there cars is just ridiculous. Those teams pay to have nice looking race cars for the fans and their sponsors and Limaland says you MUST have these stickers on both sides of your car. While the only way you benefit from these stickers is if you win a race or the points championship. Wow there is ALOT of FREE advertising out there for companies. What does the cars get that constitanly run in the top 5 or 10? If for some weird reason that rumor would come true, I do beleive Lima would have alot of race teams on there front door asking about all the darn stickers that Lima said you must have on your car. Come on Lima sponsors are hard enough to find as it is. With all the stickers you say these teams must place on there car it hides the sponsors name they have on there car now. Just because your a nascar track doesnt mean this is nascar. Just my opinion. Have a great day. #20Posted 30 May 2011 - 10:11 PM If this happens and NASCAR pulls out they should take the people that run the track with them.
Limaland Cancelled! SHOCKER.
