LOL hiwayman. Lima tried it May 13 when we pulled in with the trailer you could tell it was very soft, after it rained loading up the car we were walking through 1/2 to 1 inch of water. I'm not sure how many had to be pulled out of the pits but I know of 5-6 in the area we were parked in. Hell can hardly keep the yard mowed.

Your right i heard 5 or 6 had to be pulled out.
If you come from the north on Dutch Hollow that whole area is down in a valley.
Like i said on my other topic the fields across the rd are like a big lake and i mean big.
If the weather holds out we might be able to get some local racing in sat at the field.

Let's talk about Attica/Fremont vs Lima/WF/Millstream in another way:
Attica/Fremont has the FAST Sprint series. That means that many of the 410 Sprints run both Attica and Fremont on a weekly basis for that point fund. What that means is a guaranteed decent car count at each track each week for the Sprinters.
What does Lima/WF/Millstream have? I believe Lima has the Stock car deal with Eldora, but how often does Eldora run Stock cars, and is it really worth the time, effort, and $ to pull a stock car that far for basically pit pass money? Other than that deal, these three tracks have very little to do with one another, and run different programs.
I realize that promoters/track owners don't want to step on any other promoter/track owner's toes, but it is a business. For the well being of our local tracks, as well as decent car counts that will draw larger crowds, does anyone else agree that Lima/WF/Millstream need to start working together?

The only one of those three tracks that I can see keeping pace with Attica and Fremont is Millstream. Let's face it, until waynsefield pays more than 700 for a non wing win they arn't going to get the cars. Non wing racing isn't prevelent around here unless you draw from indiana and thats not going to happen paying 700 for a win. I like waynsefield but with 20 cars and only about two with a real shot at winning you just arn't going to pull fans. As far as limaland, they need to get a whole new regiem in to run the place. Facilities are outstanding for a local track but the people running it are chasing people away. I'm not talking about the actuall racing or the track surface. I do think gene does a great job (if he calls the shots). It's more about the marketing. Get some big shows there other than the Doty and Speedweek. Heck Attica and Fremont run the All stars all the time, why not at Lima. And when they run 410s why do the 360s have to run with them why can't they run both classes in the same night? Also and I know this will hit a nerve but be fair. If you honestly think Lima's officials and clowns (Fricke and Elwer) do not show favorites you are kidding yourself. Last year the modified king of the quarter mile was a joke. Jerry got screwed and evrybody witnessed it. then Babcock (who I'm not blaming and not cutting down) climbs out of the car and has a big UNOH on his chest and corner pannel of the car. I also witnessed elwer screaming and going toe to toe with the seelings one night. Not a good way to keep cars at your track. There are many other instances as well. Also could the track hire an anouncer that knows something about anouncing and racing. Put some stone down in the parking lot and pits so cars can get in and out. Instead of spending all the money for stupid marketing stuff spend it where you can see returns. I understand that they are rained out this week and a couple others. However, they should have been able to get one or two shows in. I like Limaland in fact way better than the racing at Fremont and think they could have one of the nicer facilities in Ohio if they were smart about it. But until things change, you are always going to have this complaing. If you think I am wrong, go to any other site. People are never on there complaining about Attica and Fremont, and there stands always have way more people. I'm not trying to cut anybody down just stating my opinion. You don't have to like it but thats what this website is for. Even you Skip, have to agree that some of what i'm saying is true.

WRP had 27 non wing sprints in the house last Saturday night before the rains came. We hope to pay more soon but you have to walk before you can run, so that means we'll be taking a step back for now but we hope things pick up for us. If last week is any indication then we might be alright, the car count and the fan count was pretty good considering the forecast.
p.s. we do take Eldora and Millstream into account prior to making any schedule changes. If we can get the place dried up enough we should have a spectacular show tomorrow night with the NRA vs. the SOD show!!!
