as always the weather cant cooperate, suns starting to come out here now (4:30) it has rained a good bit all day tho! Having Kasey at waynesfield would have brought some new fans to the track which would have been great for Greg and the staff. GUARANTEED they would have got to see some great racing!! Cant really blame them for making the call to cancel though with a chance bad weather in the area all night long, it takes a BUNCH of people in the stands to cover the cost of an allstar event :(

Why not move it to Sunday? Since Millstream took Thursday (and rightfully so) but why not move this race to Sunday? This way its still a part of speedweek

The thing that sux about the cancellation of tonights race is the winged sprint cars put on a great show at WRP and the 2 shows that involved wings have now been cancelled and there will be no rescheduling of them. The non wing guys put on a helluva show also but the winged sprints in this area draw more people to a race track and they put on a great show. I would just like to see Greg have some more winged shows at WRP. In no way am i ripping the track for cancelling tonight it rained a lot here and i understand the cancelling. Im just saying that winged sprints draw bigger crowds. Just look at Limaland they have great crowds every week even with the crap staff they have

Greg told me Saturday night that he his trying hard to reschedule the NRA SOD show at some point this year.... I do agree the wing cars are fun to watch... As far as crowds go i think if you take all the students that get in free out of the stands on Friday night it would look alot different?? JMO

Take a look at the pictures on Limas web site there are a lot a non students in that crowd. The memorial cup weekend was a 3 day show thats why a car count was good . it would have to be some thing like that to do it again.

I dont think that it would have to be a 3 day show think about it limaland is still gettin 34 cars a week when they get the shows in even when its not a NRA show they are getting that many. But a perfect weekend to do it would be the weekend Eldora has them down there in October, Make that a 2 day show with the 360s and all stars on the card at WRP either september 30 or october 2nd either a friday or sunday but make it that weekend and i bet WRP gets a big car count and lots of fans in the stands

I mean mainly Bob and 90% of the staff inside the pit area that think they know what they are doing but have absolutely no idea how to run a race track.

By no means was i referring to Gene who has taken all the crap that they did to the track surface and still made it as decent as he could.

normally i would agree with you witness24, but the last 2 weeks bob have done all the track prep and it been pretty good consider the way it looked before. the next week or so we will know if he gotten better at it or not. then gene will be back. yes gene works hard at prep and bob has taken notes watching him. dont get me wrong here, im not defending bob or taking sides on this. witness24, do you race or watch? and if so what do oyu race?
