We're having issues keeping the engine fired. When we push off it starts and will run fine when in gear...as soon as we pop it out of gear, the engine shuts off. We might as well have the mag-switch connected to the gear lever..... No sputter or coughing....it just instantly shuts off. Even when we try to keep the rpms up after we pop it out of gear...dies... So far here is the list of what we've changed out....and hasn't fixed or changed anything. All new parts. 1. Mag switch 2. MSD Box 3. Harness from the MSD box to the mag switch 4. Coil wire 5. Spark plugs Thanks.

you might check the ground on the msd box its a long shot but it could be grounding through the drive shaft when you take it out of gear it loses its ground.i would check all of the wiringand the grounds
