Lets help out Ron Hammons

Hope i dont make Ron mad but with Mike Dussel going 410 racing and his car up for grabs. If Ron decides to fill the seat who would you like to see in it? I know he is proably gonna want some one to bring some thing to the table. But I have one vote.
MIKE BRECHT.
Any one agree. Or who would you like to see?

I don't think any of the "fans" suggestions are going to have much influence on who Mr. Hammons picks. I think he's proven himself to have an eye for talent and the equipment to allow drivers to succeed. Brecht is a proven winner in Ron's cars, buuuuuuuuut I'm pretty sure there's reasons why Mike hasn't driven for Ron lately. I like the idea of Hewitt and Hortsman also comes to mind. Just two of the Lima regulars. I know there are some up-and-commers in the minisprint division. I'm sure the person selected, if anyone, will do well........pick me! pick me!

Mike was suppose to drive it the last race at eldora that got rained out last yr. Heard Kemenah is suppose to be in it this weekend at eldora.

I to would like to see Williams in the Hammons car. Maybe he could show Marshall what he lost. I don't remember Williams blowing any engines while he drove for Marshall. What in three races Westfall has gone through two and ended up with a ninth place finish the only race he completed. Makes no cents to me. Oh well just my opinion.

Before you go on a rant about something make sure you know the facts! The first time at Lima something minor with the motor happened and it was an easy fix. Matt has blown one motor with Marshall and that was at Eldora, which let's face it the motor that was in the car wouldn't hold up at Eldora anyhow considering Matt isn't going to just ride around at the back and not gas it. Matt is one of the easiest drivers on equipment I have ever seen! Partially because if he junks his car, loses a motor, etc he is done, simple as that. He is able to reuse tires and still consistently do well and win. Not to mention last year and the year before he was running a motor with a little over 85 races on it and still won 12 races. Oh ya and obviously some people know how good of a driver he is if: he has a late model, modified, 360, 2 midget, and a sprint car ride. Not counting the family owned sprint car. Oh and one more thing, that was Matt's first full night of racing ever in a 360 winged sprintcar the night he finished 9th. I would call that a pretty good finish for your first time running a wing in 3 years and first time in a 360. He was up to 5th that night until a caution and the tire sealed over. exactly, people always hate a winner.
From what ive seen the Marshall 2m and 32m motors were never really pushed to the limits. they had never really ran at eldora. probably because they wouldnt hold together. How can you blame a guy for blowing a motor when eldora is a hammer down, flat-foot track? if the motor doesnt hold together, thats not the drivers fault. "you let off once, and you lose the race" someone said this once, cant remember who.

The builder of these motors should of had them ready to be pushed to the limit. What goes boom in the night? A motor that wasnt done right. As far as a easy fix on the first motor that should of been done in the first place. #20Posted 21 July 2011 - 12:08 AM people make mistakes, often the little details are the ones overlooked. why dont you have a job at kistler or something? you seem to know it all.
