Why pay $7.00 a gallon for race fuel when you can buy E-85 108 octain for $3.00 a gallon? This is a circle track Quick Fuel Holley 4412 set up for E85 fuel. I used this carb for 65 laps to end the season last year. I paid $460.00 for it. Sold our car and need to make some room in the garage Great deal on this carb. Will sell for $375.00 FEATURES: The BEST FEATURE is the HI PERFORMANCE PATENTED METERING BLOCK DESIGNED BY QUICK FUEL TECHNOLOGY! QF metering blocks are far superior to standard metering blocks on the market. By their internal design QF metering blocks give your vehicle "quick fuel" for AMAZING THROTTLE RESPONSE UNDER ACCELERATION AND A UNIFORM FUEL PERFORMANCE CURVE! Instead of the standard metering block design of a "zig-zag" pattern, QF's patented design of drilling straight fuel passages through the metering block gives you far superior "QUICK FUEL" and throttle response! 50cc accelerator pump to pump the fuel! The main well and cross metering blocks have been enlarged. The air bleed holes have been calibrated to specs to enable bigger jets to be used. The pump and channels have been made to accelerate with a 2 barrel application. This is a modified 500cfm carb and DOES pass the venturi go no go gauge. Modified Wedge float for circle track applications. T his float keeps the proper fuel level under hard cornering and acceleration. Externally Adjustable Float STAINLESS THROTTLE BLADES Hi performance non-stick gaskets. 50cc accelerator pump 4.5 power valve The carb has been "wet-flowed" and live engine tested. They flow about 530-535 cfm This is an excellent "bolt-on and go" carburetor for your circle track car!

Ethanol is 85% grain alcohol (moonshine/everclear). The 15% gas is added to keep idiots from drinking it. I'd suspect this would not be legal, but it wouldn't surprise me to go either way. You'll also need to invest in a fuel tester, as almost never does it come out at actually E85. From there you have to mix with race fuel to get it right, and it also has the corrosive properties of alcohol. While it is a LOT cheaper per gallon, it also does not have as much energy as a gallon of gas....which means you will consumer more, a lot more. Between not wanting to turn my garage into an explosive lab, and the other stuff I mentioned....I gave up on the E85 idea before I even started. Not trying to poo-poo your sale, just thought that people would like to know what it entails....it's not a plug and play device that will allow you to race on $15 worth of fuel a night.

And, it is alcohol.......just not methanol.

[ quote name='Dirtracer48' date='Mar 3 2012, 05:15 PM' post='329381'] Ethanol is 85% grain alcohol (moonshine/everclear). The 15% gas is added to keep idiots from drinking it. And, it is alcohol.......just not methanol. [/quote] It was legal for us to run at Toledo speedway tim, rules state pump gas. I can go to Meijer's and by it right out of the pump. We saw know loss in horse power, yes you do use a little more than regular pump gas but it really helps keep your engine cooler and is alot less than the $7.00 a gallon for racing fuel that is not pump gas. This carb is set up by quick fuel for circle track racing, jetted and flow tested.
