Some one correct me if im wrong i havent been able to attend for a few yrs but wasnt there always on the back stretch wall it was painted Eldora home of the stocks. What gets me the regular sat night shows are all dropping off, there are mostly big shows any more. What use to be regular sat night show is a thing of the past and all the things we were use to are slowly going away. This proably is one of the smallest fields for stock cars in a long time hope you are wrong. Its nice all the big shows but nothing like seeing the locals on a weekly sat night, to many weeks of no racing.

It is a fact the car count is down. Remember when they had to run a B because of all the cars. Well look around fellas, a stock car is NOT a stock car anymore. And to compete in the top 10 you need to have a large investment. Some a lot larger than others but still it is a lot of money. Now look at the pay the stocks get. $400.00 for an A main. I would wager than even at that with the price of tow vechice fuel, admission, race fuel with a little left over for weekly repair expences there is very little of that 400 left. If you have an expensive repair to make, then you are in the hole.
This sort of proves that as the large expences come, and we all have them from time to time you will see less and less cars. And remember there is only one winner each week that gets that 400. The rest may go home already short in the back pocket for that race.
The other bigger fact is, that now ELDORA is a business and a business that is striving to make money will get rid of the things that now longer make that money. And guess what....the weekly shows are not money makers.
Have you looked in the stands this year. Not many warm bodies in the stands. Even the Friday night when the WoO were there the number of people was only a few. I would guess not enough to make payroll for the Eldora workers, pay for the lights, insurance, stock pay off and other cost to run the show.
The good old days of ELDORA are gone forever.
We just need to play with the cards we are dealt now until our chips are all gone.

If anyone has an xtra ride for Family Night I would be very interested for a 1 night deal, that will help get the car count up.
