A 'tip of the cap' to the staff/crew at WRP for a nice, efficient program last night!!

Way to go Rob Winks!

Dallas Hewitt is so very close to parking in Victory Lane too!

GOOD JOB!

WRP crew: Keep an eye on the rough driving-herding-slashing-blocking in the trucks and mini-sprints ;) Some torn up equipment because of it last night.......

its a funny thing when the twinnings in the pits act like really nice guys but you get them on the track, one pushes every one around and if he can not get by you, he will take out your tire and the other is driving way over his head. He can run over anyone he wants because he can afford to fix his. Not all of us are that lucky. Back in the day i would of really been mad and said a lot a really bad things and maybe more, but i learned over the years to have fun. That's why we are in the trucks. The thing that was bad is he runs you off the track, tears up your truck bad and never says anything like, i did not mean to do that or sorry. He just acts like he's to arrogant to care.

Until others step up their game and put in the hours to be able to be competitive, don't expect anything to change. Westfall is a wheelman. He can race anything. And he spents a lot of time on racing. He even builds go karts. He races all over the place in anything he can. Unfortunately he didnt go 2-2 because of the beadlock issue but he proved his point. he crossed the checkered flag first. The drivers that win arent going to just slow down and let someone else win...you have to earn it.

Over 300 views, and just 3 other posts in this thread...........come on folks!

This past Saturday night went pretty darn smooth, why not give the WRP folks a pat on the back?

Be fair about things...if something isn't right--say so, if it is right--say so!!

Last week I aired my complaints and had people opening up a new user name to bust my chops, calling themself 'WRP fan'...others acting like all I do is complain (which is BS) well, where are they now, how come they have nothing good to say about this past weekends races????

Dr Speedy: Who are you tired of?

Compacts-first time winner
Mini Sprints-first time winner...been paying his dues, and running up front for quite a while
Sprints and Modifieds-won by somebody that has been racing since the 1980s...has won tons of kart races all over, modified midget races, midget races, been a NAMARS midget champion, has run the Chili Bowl Nationals, was USAC Silver Crown Rookie of the Year, USAC sprint car feature winner, has won races on dirt-pavement-indoors
Stocks-won by a guy that is always fast, and runs up front
Trucks-won by a guy that has been racing since he was probably 5 or 6 years old in karts...races clean and races hard.

Shoulda been 2-2! He got screwed in my opinion. I may be biased but when the track doesn't even know they have the rule then how should a driver be expected to? The modified has went through UMP tech at Eldora and Lima with the beadlock and there was never an issue. Not to mention I looked at pictures today of modifieds at Waynesfield with beadlocks on the left rear.

I'm not going to blast the WRP tech crew...but the #20 mod has had the beadlock on before, and at different tracks....

Here is a shot of Matt at Limaland on May 25th

So the LMP tech crew missed it too..........

Thought the track did a great job saturday night. And to Sammie, The rich guy you was refering too didn't know who went off the back stretch cause of him. He was upset that a truck got tore up because of him getting loose. I walked around your truck and spoke briefly with your boy because I thought I tore him up when I got sideways. Nothing was said to me about my dad being the one he got involved with til later. And the Weasel only has a handful of races under his belt so I would think you would have to take that into consideration. As far as I go, I think maybe I will quote you sammie "A little bumping and banging is fun everyone that bumps another truck does not mean he trying to take him out on purpose he is just racing hard and things just happen. When its done on purpose thats not good but come on were not driving down to get a pizza were racing." The entire Weasel racing team takes pride in trying to build the truck class thru helping out our fellow drivers. In case you missed it I was wrenching on another truck not my own Sat after he got tore up in hot laps. Three times this year we've worked on other trucks to get them to the track instead of working on our own stuff, and with a 4 car team that's a lot to ask, but we do it cause we love the sport and the class. We have given parts and help away countless time. We have lent our welder out probably ten times in the pits in the last year, and most of the time its to help out our competition. I make a point to introduce myself to every new driver in the class so they feel welcome in the class. I am ticked off that you get on your computer and say things so off base.

Need For Speed, thank you so much. It was nice to speak with you after the races Saturday evening. Our staff works hard and does deserve to hear a compliment every now and then. We have good people in place and we are trying to do what we think is fair and consistant every night. We pride ourselves on first being a family enviornment and second a great track full of talented racers. There is no way to please each and every person but we strive to listen to all and to make a logical decision. As for enforcing the rules, there are 182 line items in the Dirtcar UMP rule book. We try to look at a few things every night. There is no way that you are going to inspect all 182 line items not to mention the two drawings with about 30 measurments on them. Then you throw in all the other classes that we try to inspect periodically and its hard to see it all. All I can say is that at some point in time we will have looked at every single rule on every single car in the pit area that runs weekly this season. If it's in the rules then it's best to follow the rules. I called Sam Driggers at UMP today and he supported our decision 100%. If we choose to look the other way with any rule in the Dirtcar UMP book we could loose our sanction. We value every racer and that is why we take pride in trying to be fair. We want everyone to be on a level playing field and we feel that the way we are doing it is the correct way. We hope that everyone understands and continues to support us. I hope everyone has enjoyed the shows up to this point as there are many more to come in 2012. I am always available to discuss any topic that you may have after the races near the pay window. I've also published my phone number on here several times so feel free to call. Thank you everyone for the great support so far. We hope you have a great remainder of the 2012 season.

Hey hey hey! You guys want to argue with eachother start a new thread. This is supposed to be a happy thread :-). Just kidding. I know emotions sometimes get the best of us and it hurts when you're "called out". Just be careful what you say........some people may think you actually mean it. Jeremy

Does complaining sound better? Everyone knew that the late night was not perfect but also was out of everyones control. No one tells mother nature what to do. I just think you were a little to hasty to kick the dog. If the track wasn't trying it would be another story. If you never try you'll never fail. If you never fail then you never tried.

I was going to put a beadlock on left rear a couple weeks ago and my son stopped me he said we are only allowed on right side and that is UMP rules.

First of all, I don't think Matt needs an advantage with the beadlock on the wrong side. He's proven many times over in many classes. Also 50 is correct. It's in the 2012 rule book. And needforspeed, why are you calling on me for a comment?

The thing I don't understand is what advantage you would gain running a beadlock on the left side or why you would want to. It definantly would not win a race for you. Plus the wheel is much heavier than a regular wheel.

Exactly there really is no advantage and the team really had no idea they were violating any rule because they had been through UMP tech numerous times with no trouble. The beadlock has been on there all season and some of last year without any issues.

What makes me laugh is there are other mods at Waynesfield with beadlocks on the left rear also.

If you're referring to Schroeder Ryan I don't see anything but a black rim here.
