lou blaney was a great racer .raced for years off his own money made by the sweat off his back. The disrespect the current management at sharon has done to his memory is disgusting .Does anyone think if lou was alive at the speedweek show the track, when teams arrived would still have rubber on it ,untouched from saturdays races? To treat the fans that dropped prob 100$ to be there to a hours long fiasco ,watching more tow trucks and push trucks than racing, when they could of went to one of the other 8 tracks to see a real RACE .Lou raced open wheel cars his entire career ,dont hav to explain how he is rolling in his grave that the track he helped and his name is associated with has turned their back on is now making money off jalopy smash em up divisions when the management makes money selling them parts everytime they pile into each other pinballing off each other every corner. I am sure lou would agree with the saying "open wheels seperate the men from the boys".Call sharon, tel them if your going to spend 100$ its not to see 2 nascar drivers its to see a RACE ,that in any other business the man at top would be fired for screwin the customers the way they were at speedweek ,that the GREED machine is no way to "honor" lou blaney. They need to bring sprints back ,get a director that understands how to treat the fans ,that doesnt think CHA CHING $$$$ everytime the demo/crates or the 5 divisions of crashem ups are a money maker, for speedway an "business" .that knows you plow up tracks an water them .not spritz some water on top an bottom an put more water in pits than on track .An an other great way to honor lou would be that some of the folks on here the expert/genuous self apointed knowitall s (jb,RAD) could hand willoby their 40$ an go on down in the pits an give DAVE BLANEY some driving tips an setup help because it would be so sad to see him run at the back of the b main like he did at speedweek ,at a track he is supposedly an owner of. I know he wasnt hurting for horsepower or current chassis so like some hav suggested people that were there like bob allen jimmy carr stevie smith blaneys ed haudenschild kelly kinser .may represent 100s 0f yrs of racing exp. world of outlaw wins championships etc these bleacher experts probably could tell them where they went wrong this forum isnt the place to explain how the harder tire would hav abraided QUICKER!!!!@!!!!! thats why these people who race for a living most their whole lives didnt opt for it. and the local racers started on used tires that lasted longer because the tires were heat cycledc and cured. STILL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW GIVIN GREEDY PEOPLE 100$ IS HONORING LOU BLANEY!!!!!!!! like to thank god an my brother bob.

I sure do hope that the real Joey Allen has much better things to do than get on racestud to slam Bidwell for his comments. I'd like to thank my deceased dog, Spike.

the TRUTH hurts that bad???? tuff luv is hard to take ...even tuffer to admit the management is taking advantage of ppl that would show up ,give up 100$$$ plus to race if first place was payed in black eyes ...not my words jack hewitts... enrich the rich call it a "tribute". just think what LOU BLANEY would hav thought of a bunch of "crashin into each other is racin" types who put 500$$$ worth of "racing " tires on their cars to race for 400$ to win.PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTIONS: why was track black slick before hotlaps????? why did all the ppl that race for a living and have won every big dirt race in this country opt not to go w/harder tire???? why when for yrs I have gone to mercer or lernerville and at 4-5 o clock the track is like a mud pie there is so much water an so dug up soft plowed an diskd u cant walk across it???? PLEASE share your divine knowledge with us illerates.

Are you complaining about this week, last week or both? from what I heard the track was so hard last week that they couldnt disc it or dig it up. I wasnt there im still pissed about the cancelled sunday fastrak race that they screwed us on with no rain check. Since we cant race there saturdays we were out over $350 in pit fees.

I'm sure the track hasn't been perfect - so few dirt tracks are on a regular basis. Do I know how to fix it? Not necessarily. But what I do know is that Lou Blaney probably wouldn't want other people to put words into his mouth.

You're on here complaining about one night out of an entire season. Obviously you haven't been to any night of racing at sharon other than that one show. Ask any big block driver in the pits what tire wear has been like. You obviously haven't been to lernerville or mercer too often this year as every other week someone is complaining about their surface, unless you're curtis 86 because we all know the greatest modified driver of all time loves mercer and hates sharon. Sharon's not perfect but, so far this year "management has kept the surface more consistent than any track out there. my final thought on that thread is that you should sue the board of education in whatever hell hole you come from because they obviously did you a great disservice.

LM RACING your show is on the schedule to be made up august 18th. Th track also is honoring $8 off pit admission if you have your pit pass from that night. They went as far as posting that on this site. There's also over $15000 worth of product giveaways that night so you were more than likely already going to attend. Now you'll be doing so for less money at the pit entrance and more money for the car with which you're affiliated with on payday.

Ya I seen that but the only reason we were there was cause it was a sunday show. Running for points on saturday nite keeps us from making it back on august the 18th unless our local track rains out. If it was made up on a sunday like the original show there would not be a problem. I tried explaining that to management but they said thats the policy no rainchecks. It wasnt like we wanted something special we just wanted rainchecks to come back later in the year since we couldnt make it back on the make up date. I remember a time at challenger that our local track rained out so we went to challenger just to watch. They rained out after the heats were over and there were no rainchecks just makeup features. I walked over to Jack and told him our situation and how we wouldnt be back till late in the season, and asked if we could get rain checks so we didnt lose out. He reached in his pocket and gave us our money back in cash and said thanks for coming up and hope to see you next time your track rains out or for the specials. That made us big fans of the place and we went any time we could. Thats why the place was always packed he took care of people.

You know I would say dont hide behind a screen name and put your real name after that remark but I really dont care because obviously you really dont know me. I do love Sharon but hate the current managements decisions about going to DIRT rules and not putting some clay on the track to reduce tire wear. It is better than last year but i guess i will see for myself. . If you want to bash people do it to there face or grow up and shut up.. im doing what I love to do and what we can afford to do and I support modified racing the best I can. . If you dont like me go whine to someone that cares and values ur opinion.

Well said curtis 86. I will be there to watch ya tomorrow night. Hope you bought some hard tires though. I got some track tack black sand if you want to try it. Lol. Its what we put on for these tracks that are harder than rock. Which leads me to an off topic question. Are modifieds aloud to use tire preps?

Whatever DIRT RULES ARE. .as far as I know no. Dont use it cause I run Americans every week. Wash and site and keep on using them week to week. Hoosiers wash ,site grind and throw away. Lol. Pray we got something to race on but it is what it is.
