are you part of the official sharon speedway excuse team? or does willaby pay you for each personal insult? I asked some simple questions that apparently werent simple enough, not one answer, I will repeat : why was the track still black from saturdays race at 5 on tuesday? The fans paid good money to watch an hour an a half of push trucks, the racers spent 600$ on tires and any one of the 21 flats could have been a giant catastrophe need I explain what happens to a sprint car entering a corner over 100mph when the 20" right rear goes down and the rim digs into the dirt? It can hurt even kill and is very expensive. question 2 was:Is this anyway to carry on lou blaney legacy? does anyone think this would have happened if lou was there? How is spending a 100$ on greedy people that ripped off the fans and drivers anyway to honor lou blaney? is that simple enough? I am going to buy a car and give my mom back her station wagon soon as I take the tires off the roof.Yes Lou Blaney was a great racer. If you really wanted to honor him, you'd stop badmouthing his son's track you illiterate moron.
best way to honor lou blaney

I haven't had time to edit the ASCoC - Sharon images because I my time has been otherwise committed. However, I just couldn't remember the track surface being like you are insisting it was.are you part of the official sharon speedway excuse team? or does willaby pay you for each personal insult? As I mentioned before, I know absolutely nothing about preparing a race track surface. Then again, I never said I did either!
SO, since you are REPEATEDLY insisting it was a black rubbered down surface unworked from the previous Saturday, I just had to go take a look at my image files.
HMMMMMMMM! It just does not look to be black rubbered down to me! Actually, it appears there is wet dirt stuck to the tire surface of Brent Matus' sprint. Although he might have brought that from home(that would be Wampum, PA dirt then)
Of course this was just in the Turn 3-4 area so perhaps you are talking about the other end of the track(that would be the Turn 1-2 area)! Or maybe you meant the frontstretch! Or maybe the backstretch! Or maybe the pit area!...................... I just dunno!
HMMMMMMMM! Or perhaps you are just another member of the Mustang Knitting Circle and really don't know too much about racing at all.
Just sayin'.................Ya' know!

Totally agree!!!Another good way to honor Lou Blaney would be to refrain from using his name in an attempt to add authority to your posts on Racestud where you act like a moron.

Who almost got killed? I along with everyone else must have missed that. Riptide answered your first question with those pictures. The track wasn't rubbered up at 5 o'clock. Racing didn't begin until an hour later by the way. As for your second question, DAVE not Lou Blaney is part owner of sharon speedway. The week to week operation of sharon speedway has nothing to do with his legacy. From what tuffy 59 posted the track seemed to be good tonight, which was the Lou Blaney Memorial, so the track honored him by showing good racing on his night. Dave Blaney, the Wellers, and Kirilas are the owners of the race track. Jim Weller Jr. races at sharon on a weekly basis and I'm sure that if he thought the track had been junk all year they'd be doing something different or Dave Willoughby would no longer hold his position.

I also agree Rob. He was a great man and to keep bringing his name up in this issue is disrespectful in my opinion. Good post Scruffy

the track was good in the feature and racy everywhere. Should have watered the bottom more. If urs there its gonna get used. All in all a nice show although Sprint count was down a bit. Amazing what a track can be when you work it. Rumor had it Dale did the track prep.. dont know for sure but thats what i heard.I believe Sharon got a little redemption last night. The track looked decent and the racing was entertaining. The show was over around 11 p.m. and ran pretty smooth. Except for a couple of breaks, they were not long, to fix the track, the program was very well run.

Tire wear was minimal. Between dirt they put on it this spring and the fact that they worked the track before and before the feature it had moisture in it and didn't wear the tires. But you have to work it. When the worked it before the feature it breaks the glaze on the track and the rubber that starts to get put down and it lets the moisture come up thru instead of being sealed off. It just takes time, fuel and someone that knows how and is willing to do it.Just curious, how was tire wear?

Well if thats the case the guys did a good job. Shows they can do it and do it right. If the track is garbage its because they dont want to take the time or they want to save the money it takes to do it. Was probably a case of Dave Blaney saying do it or else. Anyways good job on the track. It was time and money well spent. No on Dale. I was there.
