Sportsmans and PR are two words not frequently used together. i will be in attendance because i learned of this race on here but as another poster stated, not everyone is a racestud member.
Thats why the status quo for past "special" shows there are lucky to pull enough cars for a full heat race.
GOOD JOB walt, dennis and skip for your efforts to get the sprints back to sportsmans speedway. it should be a great show...

there are still people in knox that still don't know they are open and that's only 2 miles away, word of mouth doesn't doesn't get it done.

Come on guys!!!! lets help out.....

Okay. First, we all enjoy seeing a good field of 305 sprints and a good crowd of fans at Sportsmans or any other track, especially on a Sunday evening. But it isn't going to happen on a Sunday with another sprint event in the area. One only has to look at Central PA where the Grove, Port and Lincoln work together for the betterment of everyone involved. Wasn't always that way but they learned. We'll learn in four days.

How does a 410 race at Dog Hollow interfere with a 305/5.3 Sprint Warrior race at Sportsman? The only problem I see is French Grimes will not allow any Racesaver cars to run the race without punishing them.

If I understand correctly, a racesaver car caught running a non racesaver 305 race has to have its engine resealed. Also a few of the 305 cars are going to run with the 410's at dog

The only problem I see is fan support. The Racesaver/IMCA insurance policy will also not be in effect. But insurance will be covered by Sportsman's Speedway and the Sprint Warrior policy so that isn't a problem.

Will racesaver cars need to spend $100 and get their motor resealed to race at Dog Hollow after attending this race?

If all the seals are intact there shouldn't be a problem. So no is my answer. That's a stupid thing to even have to do. There is no reason you should have to pay any money if you race somewhere else and then race back at the dog. It not like you are racing with the woo since they pay their guys just to show up!

I agree, it's the most idiotic rule ever!!!!! But, thanks to French's power trip, racesaver rules state that if you run outside of the sanction you must get your engine reteched. I just want to know if this rule is going to be enforced for dog hollow?

If you ask him the reason why? He tries to say cause people will cheat if they run another track. Its pure B.S. and people just need to stand up to it. Come and race cause their will be other there. If you own your stuff you should be able to run anywhere you want.

I agree that has to be one of the worst rules I have seen. With the exception of allowing the AllPro Heads and the 5.3L arent the rules pretty much identical? Look at Fastrak they seem to be one of the most successful spec racing series in North America and they dont hold there drivers to restricting to where they race.
