We offered Racesaver 305 Sprints a chance to run Mercer this year. If they showed up with a sealed Racesaver motor, Mercer Raceway Park would allow them to race with The Outlaw Sprint Warrriors. That prompted an immediate call from French Grimes who called me personally to tell me he would not allow that to happen without consequences to the drivers. According to Mr. Grimes any Racesaver that runs a non-Racesaver event the driver must have their engine completely reteched including sending the heads in to be recertified, before they are allowed to compete again with Racesaver. Grimes went so far as to immediately toss Walt Tutak off the Western Pa. Racesaver Board. All Walt did was try to help the racers and he got dumped on for it. Also remember racing with Racesaver is by invitation only. I presonally know a driver who had his invitation to race revoked without being told he was "uninvited". To top it off he was not told until he paid his pit fees at the next race and then was told he was suspended, and no refund of pit passes would be given. The Racesaver rules package is a pretty solid rules package, but you better not cross Mr. Grimes. It's his way or the highway. No exceptions.

Racesaver is a good deal, but with my work it is hard to go to Dog Hollow every Friday. Last week I ran with the OWS at Mercer and the guys couldnt have been nicer they were a real class act and I really had a great time. I got tired of my wife complaining about all the money spent in the garage just sitting there so I'm starting to race. Sportsmans if sucsessful will run weekly giving Us an opportunity for more racing. I plan to go back to Dog Hollow and they can tech anything, but as of now the seasons about over so I plan to run as much as I can. If French is upset (whom I do like) let him take it up with my wife. See you at Dog Hollow ,Mercer , and Sportsmans. Racings supposed to be fun so lets put on a goodshow Sunday and enjoy it. Good luck to the OWS and Racesavers. Walt Tutak Jr.

I hope Sportsmans gets a great field and racers like Walt Tutak stand up to French Grimes. It's you car, you should race where you want to go, not where you are told to go. Good for you Walt!

Im confused how Mr grimes thinks someone will cheat if they race at a different track, they could cheat racing at his tracks to, what the hell does racing somewhere else have to do with cheating? they could change things on there car at home and bring them to his track without racing somewhere else that does not matter, maybe theres something i don't know , sorry if thats the case.

It has absolutely nothing to do with cheating. Its because French is a control freak and wants to control where racesaver cars run and where they don't. Getting the engine reteched is just the penalty for disobeying his orders.

I think i counted 10.. mike miller won forst het and 21 won second. Skip went off of 3 backwards and hit tires at a fast speef. They r working on his car. All the guys were running pretty good speed once they got the feel of the track. I think 305 could work here without a problem

Mattews, mcwen, felix, miller, wagner. Very good turn out of fans. Jim Caldwell said they are adding us to the card for the rest of the year. Great news.

Your an idiot. This class is still new and this was there 1st time at this track this year. Theres been weeks that your 358 modifieds haven't even had 10 cars and they've been there since they reopened! I believe the 305 feature only had 2 cautions, but the 358 mods I just got sick of counting. Week after week the modifieds go out for their feature and its always caution after caution. Last week, 12 cars started the feature... only 3 finished.

cool story bro...why do you think no one comes? the pay sucks, what was there 2 street stocks last week? when we used to go in 09 there was usually bout 15 cars a class yet now 5-10 is the norm...why is that...
