where did you see that ? it would be kind of insane to run against marion center and hummingbird on the same night don't you think ?

needs to be on a sunday again. thats the only way to pull the maximum amount of cars due to hummingbird and marion center. and friday nights they'd be competing against dog hollow. even though if they did it on a sunday they'd still pull more cars

Isnt the demo derby at the sykesville ag and youth fair more entertaining than the ones at thunder mountain? Wait, those are races? oh, never mind

Maybe run sprints and mods. I don't think a lot of the stockers will be willing to leave their home tracks unless you offer big money ($1000 minimum) which should not be a problem if you have even half the crowd as the first race. Also be sure to advertise that the problems from the first race are fixed or not too many will return no matter what. ;)

I am not going to get on here and pretend that the last show up there was a complete perfect show , it was not .but to get on here and put a bunch of guys to blame for a show that was their first show together as a crew i think they did a hell of a job, now if my car was torn up because of a flagman then i would be ,but if you knew the rest of the story there was another flagman there . i guess just so nobody's feelings got hurt he was not used and that is just a guess . i am sure some of the problems can be cured now that there is some idea on what the problems were in the first place . maybe an assistant flagman would cure the problem and nobody's feelings would be hurt.and a few more porta potties . but to run against marion center and hummingbird when that is where you are drawing your cars from that is just not a good idea in my opinion and it was tried before by thunder mountain and the car counts and fan counts were not good. guys are running for points and i don't think it would work.

if you find the demo derby's more exciting then go watch them. your money isn't going to break a track and if all you have to say is negative comments, maybe you should find something better to do. Thunder Mountain had their problems but it was the groups first show. cut them a break

Jeff, You did not get to where you are in life by making bad decisions so do not rock the boat and race again on Sunday. This time, give the fans something different like big and small block mods as the show that was promoted before by Bobby S. had 41 cars. Have the 305 sprints again and let Craig drive one of your cars as you will be busy all night. Super lates and steel blocks should roung out the racing card for the evening. How about renting one of the ride along late models from Hesston and giving away some free rides in it and then after the races are done, charge $15 for three laps around the track. The fans will love you for doing it. Before the races even start, consider having all the cars come out onto the track and have a fan appreciation night so that young and old alike can come down and meet and greet the drivers, get autographs and check out the cars up close and personal. You never know years down the road what seeds you are planting in a child's mind to make him remember the time he or she was at Thunder Mountain and got their first taste of racing. Just some suggestions on what I have seen at other tracks ove the years that work and make the fans want to come out and have a different kind of experienc than they are used to at their regular weekend race track. Charles

Just got off the phone with Jeff and they were working on a deal with the racesaver 305 sprints. The founder of the racesaver group just had a emergancy triple bypass. The Racesaver Nationals that were to be held at Fork Mountain Speedway in Martinsville,Va. on Aug.3rd. and 4th. have now been canceled. The Nationals brings cars from all regions as far away as Texas.Jeff was trying to put something together because he knew that many teams had made plans to attend so he thought he would try on a smaller scale than the Nationals.Things were worked out with the Racesaver guys and the vintage modified group but other circumstances could not be worked out.Jeff said he is really grateful for the support from the fans and drivers and promises that it will only get better. He said he learned alot.Thoughts and prayers for his friend French Grimes.
