We are currently taking lap sponsorship for the late model and street stock races during the Mick Orsich Memorial races to be held on September 15 at Hummingbird Speedway. We will also be holding the Chinese Auction to benefit the Hahne Cancer Center. The effort will be special this year as we lost Ina Caltagarone late last year to cancer, but we have got to see "Big" John Reed fight back from the disease to get back in his race car. Any items are greatly appreciated with all money raised going to the cancer center. We are also asking if drivers would be willing to donate an item, Hat, Shirt or Etc. for a giant racing basket to be auctioned off the night of the race. We have raised $20,500 over the past six races, and with a little luck and some hard work we would like to make the $25,000 level this year. We will also be running the 16 car King of the Hill this year with $500 to win sponsored by Kutsel's 322 Auto Sales. Again, we would like to thank everyone who have helped and supported us with this race each year. Dad would be proud. Todd

Well why are the haters bashing this post for asking for lap sponsors like they did for the Red Milley Rumble? Must be because it is not Milley run track. Just saying. <_<

We still have 11 laps available for the Mick Orsich memorial late model race on (9/15) and 12 laps available for the Ina Caltagarone memorial race on (9/8). The available lap numbers can been seen on Hummingbirds website. Things are coming along for the chinese auction to benefit the Hahne Cancer Center on the 15th. If anyone is interested in laps or donating an item, please see me at the track Saturday night. Again, thanks to all who have made this race as success.

Todd

How many laps is the race? We've been looking for somewhere different to go on the 15th and I have heard Hummingbird is a neat track.

2012 Race Count - 8 Races, 7 Tracks, and 3 States 2011 Race Count - 53 Races, 23 Tracks, and 6 States 2010 Race Count - 50 Races, 6 Tracks, and 2 States

35 laps for the late models. Both steel blocks and supers lates will run togehter with the car weighing a minimum of 2300 lbs with driver after the feature.

A 16-car King of the Hill race for the late models is also part of the program, and went over very well last season.

I assume, based on the context, that you meant to ask why the haters are not bashing this post. I'll also assume that Milley translates to Miley. Now, to answer your question, perhaps because this is a "request" for lap money and not a "challenge" to fund the race.

Good luck in 5th grade this year.

If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just suck.

Thanks to all who donated money for laps as we were able to fill both street stock and late model races last night. Hoping for great weather the next two weekends. Hope to see everyone there. Chinese auction items are still needed if anyone is willing to donate an item. The auction is shaping up to be another great fundraiser for the Hahne Cancer Center.

Thanks Again,

Todd
