There will be a benefit derby for MR.PETE ADAMS on Sunday the 2nd of September,at 3:00 pm .gates open at 12:00 .this will be the same time as knoxdale volunteer fire dept has their compact and truck derby...there will be a 30 dollar donation to run this show and will go straight to the family,,also a portion of all Pitt passes that are signed under a full size driver will also go to the family..we will be doing 50 /50 raffles and what ever else we can think of,,For those of you who don't know Pete and his
son Randy have run derbies around western Pa and have for years,,while getting a derby truck ready Pete went to put gas in the truck and static electricity lit a fire which burnt over 50 percent of his body,,,i wont go into details of the extent of injury but i assure you it is beyond severe,at best he is looking at a long stay in the hospital ,many surgeries and lots of rehabilitation,these are good hard working people who many of you know would give you the shirt off their back with out hesitation,,that is why we as derby drivers need to show them they are not alone,,,I will be giving trophies for the winners (biggest nicest i can find )and am trying to get a mad dog award also..This derby will also have a 20 dollar buy in for the feature for those who do not make it ,,,again this is a benefit derby and i don't want to get caught up in rules,its run what you brought,winning is not a factor here, its to show support for a fellow driver ,safety is the main concern,,i cant express this enough,,,I'm sure there will be questions and i will do my best to answer them,,I am a driver and not a promoter by any means.Any donations to the Adams family will be greatly appreciated and by all means spread the word,,..I can be reached at 814-221-4568..
