Wait, TBRA is a crate series? I thought Motordrome ran super lates?
They haven't had "super" lates at Motordrome in many years.......
After the first couple years Motordrome, Clearfield, and Jennerstown went to asphalt they went to various spec tires, engines, shocks, etc....

The only "super" lates left in asphalt late model racing are the outlaw cars in Michigan. Everything else is so over-regulated it's ridiculous.

They actually run outlaw LM's down in Alabama and in Ohio.

TBRA isn't really just a Crate series, although some will claim it might as well be. The GM 604, Ford 347SR, McGunegill Ford 425 lm, and Motordrome and Lake Erie spec. built engines are approved for use in the series. They use different weight limits and other rules to level out the competition with the varying powerplants. But yeah, as someone else on this post said, Asphalt Super-late models haven't run weekly in western PA in years, and until the last few years the built motors, which were spec. anyway, had to run restrictor plates!Wait, TBRA is a crate series? I miss those days at Jennerstown! particularly, the Laurel Highlands/Olds 200, guys came in from all over - Larry Phillips, Butch Miller, Gary St. amant, Freddy Campbell and others, for a $10K- $20K, to win show!Super lates still run in MI; I was at Berlin two weeks ago and they had a packed house @$22/head admission.
Of course they had Must See sprints and ISMA supers, but many of the people in the stands actually left when the open wheel cars came out. I could not believe it; looked like Jennerstown in the good old days.
Just goes to show people will still pay to see race cars with lots of horsepower.
BTW- they ran their version of the Motordrome lates as a support division that night, and they put on a great show.

The Main Event final is at Sandusky Speedway this year, I believe on the same weekend as the Fall Classic at McKean County.
