It probably has to do with money too. What's the point of driving all the way out there and not make the race when you can stay close to home and get a good finish?

You argue its about money then you argue excalpatory entry fees and pit fees are acceptable to local races .. which is it because it cant be both !! Heres why im going to eldora .. Its the biggest race on the planet at the fastest track around, the only place around where a nasty 430 can be held wide open i drive a race car to go fast not to ride around 1/4 throttle with the secondarys unhooked. Plus the atmosphere from what i understand is 10 times what the pittsburgher was in its best day back in the 90's. For me its worth buying 14 ump tires and driving 6 hours one way for that. Plus if i can run a nasty qualifying lap and make that race it would erase all of the disappointments from the last 3 years combined and the world is the only place that provides that opportunity, so from now on I will be there for the world and the dream..It probably has to do with money too.
