Michael Carber of Pipersville, PA, arrived on Christmas Eve in Brisbane, Australia where he has set out to compete in various shows throughout the next couple of weeks. Carber will be racing at Brisbane International Speedway for the majority of his races there. Michael raced his first race on Dec. 29th. He and three other sprint car drivers from the United States embarked on their first mission to beat the local drivers. All drivers were lined up for two heats rather than time trials to place them in their starting positions for the A-Main. Michael started fourth in his first heat and finished third. Based on his first finish he started seventh and finished third in his final heat race. The results of both heat races made him eligible for the dash, where he started and finished in the sixth position. Carber started sixth in the A-Main and managed to finish fifth. The fellow American drivers also finished in the top ten, sixth and tenth respectably. Carber would like to thank owner, Paul Gislingham, for the opportunity to have such an awesome ride. Michael would like to thank the following sponsors for their support in the 2007 racing season:
Butcher Motorsports, Maxim Racing, Simpson Race Products, ISC Racers Tape, Allamuchy Garage, VRP Shocks, DMI, Wings Unlimited, Blairstown Auto Supply, NAPA, Hammerhead Promotions, and Al’s Towing.
