$17,500 UP FOR GRABS AT MCR FALL CLASSIC McKean County Raceway hosts their 7th annual MCR Fall Classic this Thursday through Saturday night at the fairgrounds oval in E. Smethport. PA. The Kennedy Motorsports ULMS Late Model Series will headline the three days of racing and there is a possibility of a driver going home with $17,500 over the three days of racing. Over $80,000 in purse money is going to be paid over the three day span. Activities start at 7PM Thursday night with the ULMS Late Models running the $2000 to win Mike Duffy Memorial – King of Hill event along with 360 late models returning in the Mike “Mountain Man” Reed Memorial and complete program for the street stocks, mini stocks and pure stocks. There will also be open practice for the A&MP Electric UEMS Emods and the Kennedy Motorsports ULMS Late Models. Friday night, the racing kicks off at 7:00pm with the ULMS Late Models running for a cool $2500 winners prize in the annual Jim Duffy Memorial. The winner of this race will also receive a guaranteed starting spot for Saturday’s $13,000 to win Priority Care RaceFAN 50. The A&MP Electric UEMS Emods will be in action with $1000 to win event, while the NE FASTRAK Late Model Series will be running for $1200 to win, plus a complete program for the street stocks as well. Saturday the racing action kicks off at 6PM as the Kennedy Motorsports ULMS Late Models start off with time trials for the $13,000 to win Priority Care RaceFAN 50. Past winners have been Chub Frank (06) Rob Blair (07), Boom Briggs (08), Russ King (09), Brady Smith (2010) and Chub became the only two time winner last year. Dirt late model teams from New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia are expected on hand. Also on Saturday the FASTRAK late models will be running for $1500 to win, the A&MP Electric UEMS Emods will be running for another $1000 to win show and the street stocks will have their final show of the year paying $500 to win. This event draws nearly 200 race cars each year and this year should be no different with race fans from all over the northeast and Canada converging to the fairground oval.
