Something I have always wondered about. In the highest level of 410 Sprint cars you have drivers from mostly several regions that run sprint cars. PA, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Dakota & California. You also have the Swindell's, Hodnett, ANd Sides who have come out of Tennessee. My question is Tennessee seems to be an anomaly here, as to my knowledge it's pretty much all Late Models down there. Can someone fill me in on how these guys ended up in Sprints?

Some old guys by the names of Hoyette Hodnett, Sam Swindell, ans Hooker Hood might be the reason those guys race Sprint cars. Their fathers are legendary in supermodifieds, and sprints....

West Memphis has a long history of Supermods and as we all know Supers became winged Sprinters on the dirt.On out west to Little Rock,Ark. and more Super/Sprint country.North Louisiana and east Texas were also hotbeds for this kind of racing. Memphis was kind of the Eastern end of this region. No doubt about it,the Supers used to "Rule the Roost" in short track racing.

Thats a good question .. and those other guys had great answers .. Ryan Blaney was on Speed Tv ( with dave despain) and said he ran Latemodels on asphault in charlotte because " All the dirt track racing was in Pa and ohio "

I think Blaney was slightly nervous or something when he said that. There aren't really any good dirt tracks near Charlotte.

Oh yeah. The 360's are the weekly show there. In fact 360's are pretty much the rule in that region now. In fact the 360's are pretty much the rule everywhere.

How about the Dirt Track at Charlotte???? Some of the best racing in the USA will be held there in
November........Sprints (60+), Late Models (75+), and Big Block Mods (45)>>>>
$79.00 for 3 nites of racing, including parking and a pit pass!!!
No really good dirt tracks near Charlotte????? Ok, Gracie!!
Also, there are several other dirt tracks in the area, including Metamorphis, and Cherokee!

I'm assuming he meant weekly tracks, can't really make a living or get better racing 2 or 3 times a year.

Easy there, Donna88. You're going to blow out an o-ring.

If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just suck.

10-12? I only see you and another lady complaining about her paper being late. Find the others and refresh my memory.

Stupid remarks? You mean like when I got my panties in a wad when people didn't include the dirt track at Charlotte in a discussion of weekly tracks?
