PPMS pittsburgher 50/50 was stated to be $300 and something ( being what the winner took home )when they drew the ticket .. there was no mention as to what it went to ..nor did I ever hear any other track say what the money went to .At PPMS where does the 50/50 money go? Other dirt tracks post that the 50/50 is helping their local
fire dept, boy scouts, local charities but PPMS does not post nor even say where the money goes. They
also announce who the 50/50 benefits and how much the winner will receive.
Also it is never announced how much the 50/50 will be when they call the winning number.
Nor is the winner's name ever announced or posted. Well, might have heard a winning name one or twice
over the years. Oh wait that was another dirt track.
Just wondering if maybe the 50/50 goes to Ben or Jared's Racing Fund........
Miley's need to post and say where the money is going and how much the winner will receive.
Ah, if Dial does announce it he needs to do it when the cars are not racing and its quiet - or maybe
get new working speakers.
Everyone I've talked to agree - it is not announced where the money benefits, how much the pot will
be and who the winner was.
pretty sure money goes to track .. all "$300 something "
isnt that what you thought?
and yes "dial " (pctc hall of Famer )did that

As of July 1 2012 50/50's are illegal in the state of Pennsylvania throught the small game of chance because there is no way to know if the right amount of money is being paid out. If it is a Fire Dept doing the 50/50 no one will bother them but if it is a profitable orginization doing it turn them in and i bet they wont do it again the fines are pretty hefty. I bet the track dont have a small games of chance licence. In Pa only non profit orginizations and private clubs like eagles sportsmans ect can obtain a licenceSure hope the track doesn't retain the 50% of the 50/50. Small games of chance rules don't allow a for profit company to have any monetary gain through any small games of chance operations.

Thats an interesting fact. Never knew this. What if the money is going towards driver point funds? I know here at our local track the girls that sell get 20% off the top, then it is divided 50/50 to the winner and to the points fund. I also have never been to a track that I heard it announced that the money was going to a charity, but that would certainly be an awesome thing to do.As of July 1 2012 50/50's are illegal in the state of Pennsylvania throught the small game of chance because there is no way to know if the right amount of money is being paid out. At Marioncenter Speedway the 50/50 money goes to the local fire dept and a few years back after saving for sometime they bought a fairly new fire engine and brought it to the track and showed it off and thanked everyoneThats an interesting fact. Lernerville - Local VFD (Buffalo I believe is the name) does the 50/50 and Dail anounces it over and over, how much the pot will, how much time you have to buy your tickets and etc. Their pots are into several thousands of $$$$$$.
At Mercer I have seen posted and announced when I have attended that their 50/50 goes to local organizations/charities.
If you dont like the way PPMS does it, then dont go. If you come, then dont bitch. It is up to the track owners to announce the winnings, winner..etc. There are alot of crazy people in the world these days. Maybe, just a thought, but maybe-if someone knows that you just won a grand on a 50/50 drawing, whos to say they arent looking for a quick way to make a grand and snatch that money off of a winner? Just an example as why people do not announce these types of things.

thats a great solution to make dirt racing survive in this area. sounds like promoter speak. Fans should sit there like stink bugs and never have an opinion? Not me...

I would think you heard wrong , I dont know havent heard but dont think that the 5 fans that went thru the gates, spent $700, but can say wasnt to happy with the out come of the pittsburgher this yr. with the cancelation of fri. night and haven Miley move back to the front, tht was a joke.Im not sure how true this is, it it just what i heard last week at the pittsburgher from a few fans. They said that the 50/50 on friday night was up around $700 dollars. Then when it got moved to saturday night only it was said that the 50/50 was only at $300... If this is true then what happened to the rest of the money?
