Yeah, for $1400 to win, you'd figure there would be more than 14 cars.Wow semi late class is low

If it was a 30 or 35 lap race, I would agree with you. However, a 76 lap race (I understand they cont caution laps) scares some people off.

Jim Salor won semi lates tonight, 19 cars started feature which was cut to 50 laps due to the weather.
Rick Singleton won limited lates, 14 cars started feature.
Brian Duffy won the pure stock feature in the #7 Travis Croup car, this race was also 50 laps due to weather.
Got to give them credit for sticking it out and getting the race in, could possibly have been the last race there.

When Jim Saylor was interviewed after his win, he said the track has been like a second home for 12 years and he hates to see it go. Lots of rumors flying around about Thunder, hope it dont close, I guess we will see.care to go into more detail? haven't heard anything about this place closing..

Joe Padula has leased it from the Will family for the last 5 or so years. Have heard someone else may lease it, might be made into a windmill farm, and a few other things.closing or selling to someone else or?? hate see another track gone...

That rumor has been floating around here for a few weeks that the Padula's wont be back. Jim Saylor did say that tonight. He wouldnt say it if it wasnt true.
So it looks like we have lost another track.

Before this gets out of hand.....Joe Padula Jr. leased the track for another season....and has three years left on his ten year contract! I beleive he has to make his intentions know by the first of September..and he has done so according to him and the owner!

Everyone has been assuming this once Padula took back over at Bedford, hope it's true that they will be back.

i asked him right out on fri night if we were gonna be able to race there next year and he said yes. every year somebody from that side of the pits starts the same bullshit rumors so believe what u want i guess. see ya next may
