"The first BOSS event in June was very well received by both the fans and the Sprint car teams," commented Speedway Owner Matt Miley. "We are committed to providing Pittsburgh area fans the opportunity to see a variety of different classes and the BOSS Series allows them to see the Wingless Sprints in action without having to travel several hours."
Indiana's Dustin Smith is the current BOSS points leader and is followed by second generation Tony Beaber, whose father Johhny Beaber has quite a few victories in Western PA , Kirk Jeffries, Landon Simon and Aaron Middaugh in the season long point standings. Evans City driver Brandon Spithaler holds down the sixth spot in the BOSS points chase and is followed by Chuck Wilson, Lew Christian, Mark Cassella and Steve Irwin. Cassella, a favorite here in Western PA, led the June event before getting into the wall, is expected to return this weekend as is Andre Layfield, who scored the win in June. The father and son duo of Brent and Brandon Matus as well as Adam Anderson and Adam Miller have also indicated they will run "topless" this Saturday.
The PPMS Sprint purse has been increased throughout the back of the field with the standard $1,200 to win, the show now pays $300 to start the main event with $100 guaranteed tow money to any car that attempts to compete, but fails to start the main. In addition to the purse, drivers will also be shooting for BOSS Bonus awards including a free tire from Hoosier to the highest finisher with all Hoosier tires on the car. American Racer will provide a $100 gift certificate to the highest finisher on all four American Racer tires. The "hard charger" of the night will receive a $50 cash bonus courtesy of Horne Performance Motorsports. The highest finisher with a steel block engine will receive $50 cash courtesy of Superior Tank and Trailer and the "Hard Luck" award winner will receive a $50 gift certificate from Indy Race Parts.
Super Late Model, Late Model Sportsman and Hobby Stock competitors are permitted to utilize an "Open Tire" rule for this week's action. Pro-Late drivers will follow FASTRAK rules.
The Pit and Grandstand Admission Gates for Saturday's event open at 5:00PM with the first green flag waving promptly at 7:00PM.

In 2012, the management of Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway may utilize a Sunday evening rain date in the event Mother Nature fails to cooperate with the Saturday night racing action. Times for the Sunday rain dates are as follows: Pit and Grandstand Admission Gates open at 4:00PM, Hot Laps at 5:00PM and Racing at 6:00PM.

So you're advertising for Sunday rain date again. But you said in other posts that you didn't utilize it this past week due to the NFL. UMMM, there are games this week too!!!
Need to get your sh*t straight!
Since the steelers arent playing, I guess we will have the insert "Pittsburgh Pirates" game into the sunday cancellation.

Yes but they are still competition for the race tracks as fans may travel across the usa to follow these losers and not be in line at the race track.

I thought the same thing, glad his crew is really representing MARK CASSELLA well. I'm sure Mark is really proud to be associated with him.
