Is it a secret or will you tell us who won the championship I know there weren't many cars so do you have like a top 4 in points to list or maybe did you have 5 cars I think you had 4 at the race I was at. Would you uphold the suspension of Kevin Bolland (the 777 non vintage modified) or could he race with the vintage group if he had a vintage car if you let him race you better tell the old guys to strap in tight because Kevin likes to drive rough because that's what the fans like! Maybe you should invite him to get some excitement going for your class he would do the trick everyone is a fan because of his exciting driving and other drivers like him too and look up to him because he's such a successful veteran and they would want to race with him so you'll get more fans and driversThe annual PA Vintage Dirt Modifieds General and Rules meeting will be held at the DuBois Buffet on Saturday 27th of October starting at 2pm. Everyone is welcome, however you must be a 2012 member or join for 2013 to be eligible to vote.
Everyone is welcome to stay for the Banquet afterwards.
Call ro text Jim on 814 577 9074 if you're interested in coming.

Although, in the main, this is a typical Racestud nonsensical post, it does bear an answer to a couple of points. Is it a secret or will you tell us who won the championship I know there weren't many cars so do you have like a top 4 in points to list or maybe did you have 5 cars I think you had 4 at the race I was at. Firstly, the winners of all the Awards will be announced on the night.
And yep, like any new Class we struggled for numbers in our first season. We started out with 3 local cars, but grew to 8 by seasons end and had the biggest field of 12 cars at MRP. Unlike every other Modified Class, we cant just go out and buy a new car off the shelf, so its a slow process in sourcing older chassis, vintage bodies (particularly hard) and low tech components. Most of the tracks we appeared at knew what was involved in the growth of our class and are prepared to support us as we grow. The field should double for next year.
As for the driving, our racing is non aggressive and non contact (but it happens). The chassis and bodies in particular are too hard to find and replace - like I said, you just cant go out and buy another off the shelf.
Always said, we're not for everyone and that leaves us open to ridicule, but we're pretty focussed on what we're doing.

Thanks Bandit... appreciate the words of support. PPMS is one track we'll definitely be back to next year and with maybe something pretty big later in the season. Matt Miley is much maligned on here but from a racers perspective, he's willing to give anyone and anything a shot and we're working on something to bring a lot of Vintage Modifieds and Stock Cars from several States to his racetrack. More on that later.Dingo, I really enjoyed seeing these cars run at PPMS although the car count lacked the first time out...the night you were there and they got rained out you had a decent field...after seeing the cars practice that night I was looking forward to seeing them race...I hope you guys get a chance to come back in 2013. Good luck next season with building this division.
