This show was a total joke. 45 minutes late starting, hour and fifteen minute intermission, at least ten laps to line up the cars after each caution, and doing on track driver interviews before the LM feature at 9:30 on a Sunday night. It took over seven hours to run a three-four hour show. The only good things was the food in the grandstand concession stand and the last 10 laps of the Street Stock Feature. The pit concession was the worst I ever has anywhere, cold and under cooked, it went straight in the garbage can.
I did not make it had to work glad I did. I also heard No track prep till sunday, and they did nothing to help before the features. The poor kid in the fwd that destroyed his car in the heat race because of the ruts. Why a fuel stop on lap 33 red flag when they normaly have the fuel stop on lap 50 in the normal chili 100 this was only 50 lap race. Witherite should have Won you could not hear at the drivers meeting that it was fuel only. Starting all 30 something Street stocks buy heat race finish except the top 3 redraw (which I heard was very questionable) and no B main. She should have run a better show its not her first.

It was a last minute idea. Janey does not do this every weekend.People who do this every weekend mess up sometimes. So please as Snooky says don't throw her under the bus. She went through alot to put this together.Im greatfull she did and I would load up and go again. And track prep started the week prior.our car qualified through our heat and wasn't even on the starting grid for feature until I tracked them down. Was it a bad show? Yeah, but racing was good. I think Janey tried her best but it was planned way too late and she wasn't at a track that ran all season with a support staff already in place. Actually, because of those reasons I fully expected it to be as it was. Don't just throw Janey under the bus. I think she did her best under very bad circumstances. I hope some lessons were learned. Alot I wasn't happy with but still glad we went. Now, for next year..........................

if you think it was a total joke, that must mean we don't have to read your bullshit posts after next years race because you won't be there right? i sure as hell hope not. assholes just like you give the sport and every track a bad name. not too sure if you realise but every single track has something they could improve on, and they run shows all year long. thunder mountain has had 2 shows all year. both run by different people. jeff's show was his first show and i think it was good for a first time show. janney had a couple weeks to throw the chili race together and all you have to say is bad things about the race and the track. give us all a break man. thats what facebook is for. janney did a great job with what she had to work with. and a PILE of people really appreciate her efforts and her show every year. do you take the time out of your precious life to set up a whole show so race fans and drivers alike can have one last show before they pack it away for winter??? and on top of all of this when have you ever been to a show with 4 classes, that has been done in 3 or 4 hours? especially with 50 laps, 30 laps, and two 20 lap features?? plus heats. if you have found a place that can accomplish that, boy i'd love to go there. get off your high horse man, if you think you can do better, we better have the KNOW-IT-ALL Nationals next year. This show was a total joke. 45 minutes late starting, hour and fifteen minute intermission, at least ten laps to line up the cars after each caution, and doing on track driver interviews before the LM feature at 9:30 on a Sunday night. This race was ran on a track that is bigger then any track she has had it on before and when i ran there last year i burned 25 gallons of fuel in 30 laps. wost cars today only have a 25 gallon fuelcell in them so that why fuel stop on lap 33. Every year the rules are the same for the fuel stop, any adjustments get done in the pits or you get put to the rear of the field as you would if you went to the pits. This is not witherite's first race so he should know by now what the rules are. Every year he is told about having to many guys on the track and they have to be push off the track to get the show on the road. RULES ARE RULES and its nice to see them get used for a change.

Maybe you should try Lernerville on any Friday night. Four classes, start at 7:30 (on time), finished between 10:30 and 11:00 PM 90% of the time. No intermission, not 10-15 laps to lineup the cars after every caution, have two Ambulances at the track every night, and you don't park in a fresh cut hay field. If you would like to talk about this in person, let me know where and when. I work at dirt track all over the US and Canada from February to November every year, so I think I know a thing or two about dirt track racing.

thats good for you that you work at dirt tracks all over. when was the last time you put a show on?? there is a big difference between setting up and running a show, and working at a track. last time i checked, lernerville doesn't run a 50 lap feature every week for lates, or a 30 lap feature for street stocks, and what do they run as far as laps go for the pures and fwd's, i don't even know if they have them. oh and don't they run full seasons? pretty sure they do. janney has one race a year. could janney have had improvements to this race, hell yeah! but it was a chance to get the cars on the track one last time before most of these guys pack them away for winter. i'm sure next years race will be way better.

I know a lot more than you think I do. Lernerville runs 25 lap features for the LM, 410 Sprint, Big Block Mods, and 20 for the Sportsman/Street Stock. It take months of planning to run the races I work. You cannot plan a race in two-three weeks like this race. that is why there was son many problems. If you cut out the 150-200 laps run under caution that will take at least an hour to hour and a half off the show. Like I said earlier if you want to talk about this in person let me know. I just might be able to teach you a thing or two about planning and running a dirt track race. It is my opinion on this race and if you don't like my view I don't like to bad. You are just another one of the hicks that needs to get out of the Jefferson, Clearfield, Indiana county area and see how real racetracks are run. The tracks in this area some of the worst run facilities in the country.

i would love to talk about this in person with you. i don't doubt that you know more than i think you do. good for you bud. and i totally agree with you that if they could have cut the caution laps out, things would have moved along way faster. i also agree that it takes more time than a couple weeks to put a show together and have everything run smoothly but that just didn't happen this time. and i would also like to make the point that these races you work take months to plan. and i imagine that they run as smoothly as they possibly could. as i said earlier, could there be improvements for next year? hell yes there could be. i wouldn't quite go as far as to say i'm a hick that doesn't get out of the surrounding area. i make it to as many big shows as i can during the year but i am also on a pit crew here, and we happened to win a championship this year and our other car was 2nd in points. so if your ever up this way, let me know. we'll meet up somewhere. that's fine by me. i don't get the oppurtunities to travel alot. between work, and other things i have going on i just can't do it alot of the time. so easy with the ignorant comments about not getting out of the area. i was at hesston the other week, seemed like they got everything taken care of quickly but it was still an 8 hour show. with 4 classes.I know a lot more than you think I do.
