What's the best way too install a headlight package on an Md3 nose so they can stand abuse and stay on for more than a weekend?

Place the decals on a piece of alumiumn. Then cut them out and rivet on the nose. OR use a clear piece of laminate to place over them to help protect from rocks, dirt, ect.

Honestly the best way is to piss in a rag and wipe the nose down before you install them. That's what I was told by Jeff the owner of performance bodies. It actually works !!! Something about the specific type of acid in piss promotes adhesion

I have never tried the piss theory, however these plastic noses have a release agent on them. That's why stickers don't stick very well. I used acetone or paint thinner only on area of decal. Dampen a rag and wipe area well. Then apply decal, This works for me.

The piss does that same thing without damaging the plastic

clean the nose with rubbing alcohol and use a clear coat spray can over the decal. Did it this year for the first time and they last pretty much all year minus the usual racing bumps and bruises. Usually when you just put them on and go they come home first race all tore up from rocks, not the case this past year.

After you stick them on shit in your hand and cover the decal. Then let it sit for 15 min and dry with a heat gun until solid. then grind off with high speed buffing wheel.
