2013 Mini Stock Rules

Also, the weight for 602 crates competing in the Stock Cars has been corrected from 2700 lbs. to 2600.

especially when crates won most of the races last year anyways, even with big tires . now a guy cant even build his own motor in the lousy street stocks . no wonder we cant get full feilds anymore. im glad im about done racing, cause i will never spend my money on the GM only idea. same motor same carb same gear no fun

I realy think, that they are trying to do away with the stocks. If they keep making a$$hole rules they will.

I agree with you dandy jr why have someone else build a motor when I can do it myself. used to be fun but noticed the last few years the fun stopped.

Yes if you know what you are doing. But the more rules they put in the harder its getting. Anyone can buy a win, a real racer will find a way to win. If the the crates need so much to win, then take the fenders off cut 200lbs more and run 2bbl emod.

True and then they want rules that try to stop people from out thinking them. Racing is getting pi$$ poor any more. It use to be fun putting something together and see if you can out smart the other racers. Now the kids need rules to make them look big.

I don't think anyone can buy a win. While money can buy better and more reliable equipment it don't replace working on the chassis and having a driver that knows what the car needs. All the money in world won't buy a car that is fastest everynight, not without someone who knows what they are doing.. I don't think anyone is forcing you to buy a crate but it ain't a bad option. What I found is that the crates are down on power and it forces teams to look at chassis much harder to find speed... I think all the crates proved is that motor isn't where races are won, it's in the chassis. I know some guys still build their own motors but the majority of teams up front aren't.... Just the way it is and will be. The crate deal isnt the best package but for now people see a few having success so they try it...the trick is to stay ahead of your competition so they are always trying to catch you and the only way to do that is through hard work.

Ok then dont handycap the people that do their own work. They have to many rules to help the crates. No one said that you had to run a crate, but since you do you need rule to bring the other guys down.

I would say the playing field is pretty even considering a stock car can't safely get down to 2600 and have any chance of also scaling where u want it. Also I haven't seen anyone come across scales under 2700 so the rule doesn't seem to have the any effect...

when the 350 got a 200 pound weight break everyone had to go to 350 . another 300 is crazy. you dont need a good handling car if your 300 pounds lighter. they can weigh 2600. they are the same car ss e-mod at 2400 with 100 pounds of lead on them. and you sure can build a competitive motor for 3200 dollars if you only weigh 2600 pounds, and you can rebuild it for a fraction of the crate rebuild, plus my valve springs never need replaced for 4 to 5 years

Funny I know of two cars that was around 2400 before they added lead. One car was 2465 the other car was 2490. So you can blow smoke all you want. Like I said hurt the ones that can do their own work, so you all can look big.

Its not hurting you at all, you DON'T RACE, how can you complain when you don't have anything invested in the class? You come on here spewing your garbage about how the guy that builds his stuff is getting the shaft. when you have no idea how much work it is for him or the guy that doesn't need to build his own motor and can foucs on chassis.

Funny my third cars is ready to go. I have ran stockcars and e-mod. Had to take a few years off yes. But I build most of my own stuff. So if you don't know me, you cant say what I have invested.
