Ok then dont handycap the people that do their own work. They have to many rules to help the crates. No one said that you had to run a crate, but since you do you need rule to bring the other guys down.
I would say the playing field is pretty even considering a stock car can't safely get down to 2600 and have any chance of also scaling where u want it. Also I haven't seen anyone come across scales under 2700 so the rule doesn't seem to have the any effect...

when the 350 got a 200 pound weight break everyone had to go to 350 . another 300 is crazy. you dont need a good handling car if your 300 pounds lighter. they can weigh 2600. they are the same car ss e-mod at 2400 with 100 pounds of lead on them. and you sure can build a competitive motor for 3200 dollars if you only weigh 2600 pounds, and you can rebuild it for a fraction of the crate rebuild, plus my valve springs never need replaced for 4 to 5 years

Funny I know of two cars that was around 2400 before they added lead. One car was 2465 the other car was 2490. So you can blow smoke all you want. Like I said hurt the ones that can do their own work, so you all can look big.
Its not hurting you at all, you DON'T RACE, how can you complain when you don't have anything invested in the class? You come on here spewing your garbage about how the guy that builds his stuff is getting the shaft. when you have no idea how much work it is for him or the guy that doesn't need to build his own motor and can foucs on chassis.
